I wish the same. But you and I both know that's not going to happen... They will never get the support from corporations, and without it, you can't win anything. And since corporations are growing larger and larger each day, people like Sanders will just simply cease to exist. Just the fact that Hilary was nominated over Bernie tells everything you need to know. It's a fucking reality show for majority of voters. They don't care about politics. They just go for whoever says the most "sexy," or rather outlandish shit, and for the same reason, Hilary lost to Trump despite the majority of major media outlets showing support to Hilary.

Until children started starving to death there. Then he started saying norway and sweden were the prime examples of socialism. Except they arent socialist countries. In fact rep's from denmark actually went to america to tell US politicians ESPECIALLY sanders, that they were not socialst. He also spent his honeymoon in the soviet union. He toured around the soviet union and praised them. He also used to want big taxes for millionaires until he became one. He is quite wealthy now. And now he wants big taxes for billionaires. While i agree that wealthy people or organisations should not be able to contribute to the campaigns of elected officials, there is much i dont trust him on. So, he might say he just wants better healthcare and free education, but seems to me if he was calling the shots, the USA would become yet another socialist hellhole run by wackos, insulated from their own ideas by money and power who think they can create utopia.

Ryan Palm to add to your point. To my knowledge multiple houses is 3. One in his hometown in Vermont, another is in DC where he works, and the last is a vacation property that was purchased after his wife sold a property she inherited. Personally I think it’s really none of our business, but attacks like this make me feel like I need to point out that this really isn’t excessive for a US Senator
@NikoKun4 жыл бұрын
@Jeremy Backman Owning multiple homes is basically required when you're a Senator, most have multiple houses, but there's a good reason for that! It's necessary to cut down on wasteful and excessive travel requirements they'd have otherwise. They usually have 1 house near D.C. and one in their home state. If they didn't, they'd be wasting far more on travel costs, and the media would probably focus on that waste, as a much bigger deal. Actually, I've seen pictures of all 3 of Bernie's houses, and they're certainly not mansions or anything close.. They're basically just small middle-class homes, in comparison to what most Senators have. Up until recent years he just had the 2, but his wife inherited one from her family, so they used that to get a small vacation house on a lake. Not really something I'd criticize him for. He's still basically one of the least wealthy Senators, and the policies he fights for would increase his taxes as well, and he wants that, so I don't really see how anything he's doing is hypocritical?
@demonseed3604 жыл бұрын
@Jeremy Backman Bernie talks about implementing more socialist policies within the capitalist framework that we have. Specifically, replacing predatory systems that exploit people's needs, not wants. This is something that we already do if you look at social security, for example. Socialism and capitalism are not mutually exclusive. Medicare for all, free college, higher taxes on the wealthiest people, the elimination of money in politics, and the elimination of for-profit prisons are his main examples. This isn't an either-or situation. He isn't talking about abolishing private ownership or having the state seize the means of production as a real socialist would. He wouldn't have anywhere near as much support as he does right now if that was his proposed plan and all of the propaganda you hear about him from Fox News would really be true, but it isn't. Yes, he calls himself a democratic socialist, but his wording is incorrect. He's actually more of a social democrat, a type of capitalist.

🇸🇪 Swede here! Most think of Sweden as a socialistic healthcare-heaven. "Free health-care for all" But the truth is: That here in sweden. Good health-care is a class issue. Especially if you need health-care "in time". We have long operation queue's. Where people dies, waiting for their surgery or "procedures". To get correct (and fast) health-care. You have to pay for health-care insurance from big insurance corporations. - IN SWEDEN! So YES! Healthcare is a class-issue here in Sweden to. Upper-class has no issues with this.since they pay for first class health-care insurance. Another issue to an already weigh downed health-care. And the latest years influx of immigrants and refuges. Where the majority needs health-care. Creates even more strain on the limited resources Sweden has. The resources I talk about is: capacity of giving care, budget given from government, the facilities as is, hospital-beds, and the cost of medicine. Because for swedish citizens, we do pay our own medicine to a limit (aprox $230 yearly) When reaching the cost-limit, the medicine is at no cost for the consumer the rest of the year. But the cost is covered by the state. It's still paid for. But the community instead of the individual. But for all the people signed under the immigration office. Those people has all medicine paid for. Dental care, and helping aid as crutches, glasses, prosthetic, wheelchairs, walker, etc.. And with 1 out of 10 in sweden being immigrant. And 9 out of 10 immigrants needs medicine and health-care in some capacity. Sweden is under a insane weight of costs. That our state has big problems paying. The latest fifteen years our taxes has increased. So much that aprox $1400 out of every swedish citizens yearly income goes directly to the cost of the immigration. Regardless if a swedish taxpayer makes $10'000 yearly as low-income earner. We all pay our high taxes to support this. The rich as the poor. Now dont get me wrong. I'm of the mind that a rich western nation as Sweden. We have an obligation to offer safe asylum for refugees. And in those situations, also offer the refugees a future in Sweden as citizens. If they want to stay and become part of our community. But the situation is that, because of the uncontrolled flow of immigration. We have got extremists groups growing so big. And they're present in every larger city in Sweden. That they even have created networks. Infiltrated the state machinery by getting hired in the wellfare system and government organizations. That they can track down individuals. As some members of Yazidi tribes. Yazidi tribes were persecuted in Syria. These individuals are now persecuted here in sweden by Syrian nationals in extremist groups. So they continue their political or religious agenda here in Sweden. Persecuting the same poor people as in their homeland. So Sweden have to refuse the Yazidic people asylum in Sweden. Because we can't guarantee their security here. This is frikkin insane! Mainstream media and some politicians put a lid on this and many many more issues in Sween. Since they're all part of an "unconvenient truth".

I am not an American and have never been in America, but if I were , I would have voted for someone like Bernie. He's a very bright individual and he is 100% right that everyone should have free access to medical care when needed . I leave in the UK and have never played to see a doctor no matter the problem . Also for children, up to 16yo, everything is free , and I mean everything, from medicine to glasses, to dental care and so on . It's a shame to spend all your money on medical care considering you already paying taxes and it should be all covered.

I revere him for his ideological consistency too and he is a good honest man from a person PoV but simply owing to that one shouldn't agree with his economically debilitating policies. But I do agree that at least he is a much better man than the two faced cunt of a pathological liar that Elizabeth Warren is.

@Benghazi gaming he doesn't understand economics at all. "Tell me why we can't simply expand that program (Medicare)" Because the price tag!! He keeps saying we're the only wealthy country without universal healthcare of some sort. But there are no other countriesusing that system that are even remotely the population of the u.s. it's ridiculous to think that we can just "simply expand such an expensive program" without any drawbacks. And then at the same time talk about spending even more money on people student loan debt. If he is your guy, more power to you. For me, I want less government not more government.
