And since corporations are growing larger and larger each day, people like Sanders will just simply cease to exist. Just the fact that Hilary was nominated over Bernie tells everything you need to know. It's a fucking reality show for majority of voters. They don't care about politics. They just go for whoever says the most "sexy," or rather outlandish shit, and for the same reason, Hilary lost to Trump despite the majority of major media outlets showing support to Hilary.

Bernie is right. These are NOT "radical" ideas. Bernie wants to accomplish and finish what FDR started 75 years ago just before he died. MLK also called on our government to do the same just before he was assassinated. A Second Bill of Rights, which was also called the Economic Bill of Rights: On January 11, 1944 in his original address to the nation, FDR stated: "In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all-regardless of station, race, or creed. Among these are: 1. A job 2. An adequate wage and decent living 3. A decent home 4. Medical care 5. Economic protection during sickness, accident, old age, or unemployment 6. A good education All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being. America's own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for all our citizens. For unless there is security here at home there cannot be lasting peace in the world." ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
@richardvargus74435 жыл бұрын
That guy was a fucking socialist. Notice how they didnt safeguard social security so that the government couldnt take YOUR money and spend it on wars and bullshit. Now social security is dry. There is no money. And we are what 23 trillion in debt. And you propose to make it a right that I get a job. So some business HAS to hire me. What the fuck man? Every year thousands of people flock to hollywood to try to make it there in a competitive field. Most fail. In your system there would have to be some quota of allowable people who could be actors as you couldnt gaurentee as many jobs as people who wanted to do that job. Imagine going to college with aspirations of being a tv reporter and being told no, we are oversaturated for the next 10 years. You can be the janitor tho.

I dont come from any type of wealth and have to sit backing watching many people who reaped the benefits of their parents and quite honestly so many of them are undeserving and have a unfixed view on reality, many of them pick up dumb founded beliefs from their role models and would enjoy to hold the status quo. I however am glad to see those out there putting some real effort into getting the truth and facts that are out there to fix whats broken in this country.

Youre probably lucky he was never able to turn his vision of america into reality. Like most politicians, he's a liar. He USED to refer to venezuela as a golden example of what socialism is about. Until children started starving to death there. Then he started saying norway and sweden were the prime examples of socialism. Except they arent socialist countries. In fact rep's from denmark actually went to america to tell US politicians ESPECIALLY sanders, that they were not socialst. He also spent his honeymoon in the soviet union. He toured around the soviet union and praised them. He also used to want big taxes for millionaires until he became one. He is quite wealthy now. And now he wants big taxes for billionaires. While i agree that wealthy people or organisations should not be able to contribute to the campaigns of elected officials, there is much i dont trust him on. So, he might say he just wants better healthcare and free education, but seems to me if he was calling the shots, the USA would become yet another socialist hellhole run by wackos, insulated from their own ideas by money and power who think they can create utopia.

I'm telling you now as a UK citizen, national healthcare is the best thing in the world, I would barely be alive and deformed thanks to a skull deformity I was born with, that was fixed, but would have cost my family hundreds of thousands of pounds, and left me ugly and with terrible brain damage! I have had many encounters with hospitals in my life and having the security and safety of their hospitality and great, free treatment, has been a true blessing. I have now grown up into a beautiful, strong intelligent man with a degree, a job as a teacher, and barely a sign of a past deformity save for a large bald scar that constantly reminds me of that blessing. Bernie was apart of the civil rights movement and fought for years (www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/02/bernie-sanders-core-university-chicago/), and as for his "nothing of importance" accomplishments, well this list begs to differ (occasionalplanet.org/2016/03/04/a-list-of-bernie-sanders-accomplishments/). @Benghazi gaming he doesn't understand economics at all. "Tell me why we can't simply expand that program (Medicare)" Because the price tag!! He keeps saying we're the only wealthy country without universal healthcare of some sort. But there are no other countriesusing that system that are even remotely the population of the u.s. it's ridiculous to think that we can just "simply expand such an expensive program" without any drawbacks. And then at the same time talk about spending even more money on people student loan debt. If he is your guy, more power to you. For me, I want less government not more government.

Jay P 1. He’s not a commie, he literally says it in the interview so it makes me think you didn’t even watch it. 2. Trump has knocked millions of people off of their health insurance 3. Trump’s tax cut has resulted in a trillion dollar deficit per year (and idk about you, but I owed almost a thousand dollars in taxes last year) and I have never owed on my taxes. 4. He keeps talking about the stock markets and unemployment numbers. Stock markets don’t let us know how the middle class is doing, only 38% of middle class Americans believe the economy is helping them. 5. You don’t win arguments online by just calling someone a commie, you’ll realize that in a year when Bernie is Inaugurated and you’ve spent the last 10 months screaming Venezuela, Communism, Cuba, and Socialism like it’s an actual policy debate.

You can never get an interview like this on cable tv he would be interrupted 1000000 times, this is why no one has cable anymore 👍👍
@ydrinkcoke5 жыл бұрын
Gotta interrupt the person you're interviewing enough times to get under their skin so they can say something that makes headlines! If that doesn't work, change the topic enough times until you can find something controversial. I get it, that type of media thrives on quick 15-second clips put into whatever context will get the most views, while Joe's podcast is more successful the longer it goes. I wish we had more of these long-format interviews where you can actually get a better understanding of the person. Especially if that person is going to be the President of the United States.

I’m not a huge Bernie fan. I don’t agree with most of his stances or most of his policies. But I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. It was a great way of showing who the man is. Rather than just his platform, polices or ideas The fact that he was asked questions, allowed to respond uninterrupted, asked follow up questions and was able to respond without getting yelled at Is phenomenal. Every candidate should come on this show individually, talk about their stances, policies, ideas etc. To give us, as well as them a chance to speak and learn more about them. While Joe ask questions and Jamie can fact check their answers right on spot. Forcing them to address anything they have said or issues they have flip flopped on. We would learn and respect them much more. Doing a discussion/ debate that way. Rather than the ridiculous “ debate “ format. Where we don’t get any answers. Because the moderators and candidates just fight. Trying to steal as much air time as possible. Hoping a couple minutes of fame will help them win!
