Com’n Joe Rogan, you brought a genius of 21st century and you didn’t read any of his book!?! “The Art of Seduction “ is masterpiece (as well as other Greene’s books) about why and how we helplessly fall in love with different people and you asked him is that a book about getting laid ? Com’n dude, I like you , but this interview is embarrassing. Please, educate yourself a little bit more when you have top intellectuals at your show. You look so shallow and not so smart.

His experience led him to research and eventually in 1998 he wrote 48 Laws Of Power. Also I believe that Tupac Shakur influenced him as well because Tupac was into Machiavelli. That's why I will always stan Tupac. He influenced so many people in knowledge. I as his student have the responsibility of enlightening the world. The Gates of Paradise A soldier named Nobushige came to Hakuin, and asked: "Is there really a paradise and a hell?" "Who are you?" inquired Hakuin. "I am a samurai," the warrior replied. "You, a soldier!" exclaimed Hakuin. "What kind of ruler would have you as his guard? Your face looks like that of a beggar." Nobushige became so angry that he began to draw his sword, but Hakuin continued: "So you have a sword! Your weapon is probably much too dull to cut off my head." As Nobushige drew his sword Hakuin remarked: "Here open the gates of hell!" At these words the samurai, perceiving the master's discipline, sheathed his sword and bowed. "Here open the gates of paradise," said Hakuin.

It's really fucking annoying to hear people that haven't done any real research into anthropology, specifically sociobiology/evolutionary psychology, talk about "human nature."
@HighStreetHigh11 жыл бұрын
b4kuraxd Essentially all the information Robert Greene presented in the first half hour(all I could stand to listen to at the time) about human origin was conjecture, or complete disinformation. The examples that I remember: Greene claiming that humans are descended from Chimpanzees (around 24:20 minutes) is completely false; Humans did not descend from Chimps, we share a common ancestor with Chimps, and the human genome is very similar to that of Chimps. BUT, humans also share the same common ancestor with Bonobos, and the human and Bonobo genome share as much in common as the human genome in comparison to the Chimp genome. Greene claimed that humans share behavioral traits with "warring Chimpanzees" which is utter bullshit. Chimpanzee don't necessarily participate in warfare, the research that suggests they do is highly questionable, which Aubrey points out, and Greene is completely unaware. He also anthropomorphizes about the Chimps "need for power" which again is horseshit. Greene consistently makes these broad claims about the evolution and pre-historic characteristics of human behaviors of which he has NO SCIENTIFIC PROOF. He's talking about things that even evolutionary psychologists are not able to substantiate, and presenting these ideas as facts on which books can be written. Another red flag is that he quotes the Millgram obedience study as if it is scientific gospel, when in fact, it has never been scientifically substantiated. Findings from the Millgram obedience studies are not repeatable, therefore not scientific, and have been essentially debunked. This is common knowledge, as a number of popular media sources have even covered this debunking. Essentially, Greene is talking out of his ass, using anthropological disinformation to try to assert his unsubstantiated world view. I really hope next week that Chris Ryan, PHD addresses that mountain of bullshit Green presented in this podcast.
