Before I ever watched Duncan, I just thought he was a silly stoner friend of Joes. But after watching a couple podcasts, I truly love his outlook and perspective on reality; by far one of my favorite guests
@Qasibr4 жыл бұрын
Ah, same here. I’m embarrassed by my quick judgement. I think I first heard him in Graham Hancock’s first episode with Joe (he’s another one of my favourite guests). And Duncan just sounded like an annoying dweeb with a high pitched voice. I guess I was projecting. He’s actually an incredibly profound person with brilliant insights. I hope to outgrow this impulse to judge though!

@@Qasibr it is interesting that you listen to Duncan who is one of the most introspective/self aware people I've ever heard talk and that makes you look into your own personality to try to better yourself and create the version of you that you truly want to be. This is easily one of the best JRE episodes to date. I'm a metaphysician and when Duncan describes the temporal entity that exists in a higher dimension and life itself acts like a sensory input organ is true. The pineal gland acts like a crystal radio (yes, our brains are receivers and not transmitters of conciousness) that tunes into the specific frequency that makes you an individual but in the grand scope of things we are all one. We are a part of a holographic fractalized God and we contribute to its infinite knowledge and wisdom through our life experiances in the same way bees collect nectar to make honey. If you pondered the question of life; love is the answer. Love yourself and love all things unconditionally and you'll always be in heaven here on Earth. 0 :-)

About 10 minutes in....what if we're already at this stage somewhere in the future though? And we just keep going in circles creating versions of "ourselves" over and over. So essentially we already picked the way we look, and the roles we want to play in this life. Then we got bored of that, so were starting up the technology cycle again....

"You know in a video game when the character levels up, and it becomes a whole new game, the game gets interesting again? That's what's about to happen to our species. "Like, our species is about to level up. It's about to become an entirely new thing. And it's a few specific technologies that are converging, that are forming this thing, and those technologies are: 3D printing, robotics and AI, the legalization of psychedelics and psychopharmacology...and all forms of life extension therapy. All of these things, they're meeting, they're all gonna meet, they're all growing together, they're all appendages that are growing..." ~ Duncan Trussell

I feel like VR will be more beneficial than dangerous. When you think about it, no one really understands other people unless they are put in their position first hand. Many people lack empathy. So if VR advances to the point where you have the ability to live and feel another persons life, and that persons life happens to be in poverty, starvation, rejection (skin color, sexual orientation, religion, etc). It will bring about a humbling enlightenment to the human race, speeding up the evolution of our consciousness faster than ever before. Plus it's going to be fun as fuck.

I am impressed and somewhat depressed how many negative comments are on here. So many egos trying to flex nuts. Some of you need to chill out and be open minded.
@avedic9 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Duncan isn't spouting-off "woo" as if he _literally believes it_. Duncan's simply engaging in off-the-cuff thought experiments and trans-rational hyperbolic tangential thinking. What's wrong with that? Pure utilitarian reason isn't the *_only_* conversational style worthy of respect. Some people seem to miss that point and read-into Duncan's actual beliefs/mindset a bit too much. Ego-flexing, as you aptly put it, is _gross_. -___-

How to not be homeless anymore 1.) Labor Finders or Any Temp. Employment Agency 2.) SAVE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3.) Rent a HOTEL room untill you can rent something better. You have to adjust the changes in society 4.) Get a real full time job and make goals to achieve in life 5.) NEVER LOOK BACK but only to appreciate how far you have come I was 15 when I became homeless and lived on the street and woods for a period of 3 years. Once I got over the poor pitiful me stage I did everything I listed above. Now, almost 10 years later, I have my own home, beautiful wife and an amazing son. My best Friend and I just started our own business, A&B Tree Service & Lawn Care, LLC. Thinking back the only thing that really got in my way was myself. It was all a mental battle and only you can decide how this shit is going to turn out. Its easy to give up, be lazy and find an excuse for your situation. Those are the ones who OD under the I-95 overpass. OR you can use all that fucked up shit that has happened as fuel to get out of that hole and once out..... there isn't a better felling in the world, to come form the bottom of the bottom and rise to the top. ANYONE can do it no matter how bad the situation is, its only a matter of how bad do you want it.

Everything with Joe Rogan is a thousand years in the future.. it`s funny because it does cover your back for the most wild farfetched opinions on all topics.. , like: JR: "Imagine if the world`s human population ended up evolving themselves into the machines, the grey aliens we all know, the ones that are teleporting back in time traveling in a flying saucer and are also experimenting on people from the past, like with probes and shit" D T: "Huh?" JR: "Well in a thousand years from now who knows what will happen" D T: "Haha i agree, were totally turning into aliens dude, UFO`s are us from the future!" JR: "Hehe... our real history is sexy" :D U guys make so much sense, i actually found a meteorite in the desert whilst listening to this podcast was crazy haha keep doing what u do!

@6:48 for starters but the whole video is a stark, dark contrast between Then in 2015 and now in 2020...corruption was alive and well Then, but 2016 pulled the rug out, put it into high gear with a massive capitalistic power grab by and for the 1%, with the delusion that they would profit from dismantling all there is to sustain the ecosystem that allows us to thrive as a whole. The Greedy and Soulless are blind to essential truths like the whole is only as good as the sum of its parts. Im grateful for socially conscious evolutionary figures like Rogan and Trussell that reach a wide audience. Rogan has become integral to enlightening society by entertaining us, inadvertantly empowering us with comedy and conversations from some of the most notable and creative people alive ..from Fear Factor to the UFC to connecting us to the bigger conversations~ exposing us to critical thinking. This provides much hope and potential for us to survive today's Admin and 'just maybe' the possibility of a [better] future that acknowledges the foaming hatred that boiled to the surface and recently spilled over from ignoring over 200 years of systemic Racism ...I hope for hope...I'm trying on a little hope in exchange for the Dirty giving up I've been wearing for longer than I care to admit in a wordy KZbin comment that is seconds away from being shit into the abyss. ...FLUSH : ) May we Live and Love on...toot toot

This is my favorite Joe Rogan podcast so far. It's so down to earth and inlitening to its purest form. Can't relate more.
