People always think Joe isn't vibing with the guest every episode XD He will try to bring out the guests ideas by doing things like playing devils advocate and I see endless comments along the lines of "Joe was not on his game today and he should apologize." And if they aren't saying that it's "he is supporting someone would shouldn't have a platform" I'm just sitting here like "dude it's the Joe Rogan show fucking relax. use your brain to understand such complex concepts like not being super duper serious all the time"

armin38822 People break down into two groups. When they experience something lucky, group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?

I'm extremely bias, as I love Rich Roll (so take with a grain of salt) but boy he is one classy dude. He's the Rodger Federer of the podcast world, while Joe Rogan is the Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He's extremely generous with Joe here. Joe just wants to be heard (especially regarding his experience with angry vegans) and Rich ensures his views are validated. Joe is simultaneously trying to impress Rich, whilst also trying to outsmart him and the interview feels awkward, especially towards the end.. There's a tension that Rich navigates and manages with respect and openness, whilst Rogan is defensive and frequently diverts away from the topic at hand. It's almost as if Rich has to step into host mode on a podcast that isn't his. Bit of a shame. So much potential for two great podcasters to shed light on some big topics - if Joe put aside his ego and was more generous with Rich. Just my humble opinion!

The placebo effect is a highly powerful phenomenon. I know there are some people practicing some weird shit too. When Joe talked about the body's meridians it reminded me of the time I went to school to learn massage. I had a teacher that studied Chinese Medicine and Eastern philosophy. While studying massage, you have to learn a certain level of mainstream Allopathic medicine and a little of the Eastern ways (Ayurvedic and Chinese Med.). When it came time to learn about meridians, chakras, and Reiki and all that stuff, some people in the class were naturally skeptical. Our instructor picked someone out of class to demonstrate a technique on. It happened to be me. She told me to lay face down on the massage table and relax. She proceeded to put her hands on my lower back. I felt the warmth of her hands melt into my lumbar region. A few seconds later she exhaled deeply.. Then a few seconds after that, she told me to look up....I immediately reached behind my back to see who was touching me because she had tiptoed to the other side of the room. I jumped up and told what I had felt. I could still feel her hands on my freaking back and she wasn't even touching me, no bullshit. There are freaky things going on on this planet and you might not believe certain things about this existence until you experience something strange.

These guys are talking about having that great shake/juice concoction in the morning. I have found that whatever you have in the morning sets a momentum for that day. So if you have lots of sugar and carbs, it sets a craving for those things in motion. And if you have tons of veggies, it sets a craving for those foods in motion. So it's a good thing to eat well first thing in the morning.

I'm a vegetarian and i eat eggs. Just like Joe said, they lay eggs everyday. You need a rooster around in order for the chickens to produce chicklets. No rooster = no baby chickens. So why just let the eggs go to waste? It's like your little chicken buddies are giving you a treat.

before hens were genetically modified and selectively bred, they laid 10-12 eggs per year. now a days, they lay 300+ per year, draining calcium and other vital nutrients from the hens, resulting in them becoming very frail. these aren't natural treats for you to consume, they are a result of human manipulation with no regard for the hen. the way to restore the balance is to feed the egg back to the hen every day it lays one

This is a common problem with amateur interviewers. And by "amateur" I'm not referring to whether or not someone has formal training in interviewing --- I'm referring to people who simply understand the role of the interviewer, and who have reflected on it.

Its not an interview its a podcast, its 2 people debating topics relating to what the podcast is about or is about on that day. Joe will often bring on a guest who has opposing poltical or lifestyle or religious ideas to him and he will debate with them and play devils advocate. He isnt an intervew like Parkinson getting on a celebrity and asking questions about there lives.

I didn't have a moral issue w eating eggs until I learned that we bred chickens out of their ability to fly. We also bred them to lay so many eggs and so much larger than is natural for them that by the age of 2 they have an 80% chance of having ovarian cancer which makes laying eggs extremely painful for them. We don't have to exploit animals to survive or thrive, look at Rich he's a great example of that, so why exploit them?

I like you, Joe Rogan, and I think you're the most competent, funny and dedicated MMA-Commentator around. But when it comes to Meat production and consumption and what it means to our environment you are incredibly ignorant. If I remember correctly you tried to go vegan at some point in your life, you just didn't have the stamina to go through with it. So now you are downplaying and ridiculing that noble cause at every turn. I find that very disappointing. Fortunately Rich Roll is way too smart for you...

+georgetheonlyporge Doesnt have the stamina to go through with it? lol. Joe Rogan is one of the few people who can completetly change his diet just to see the change it does to his body. You keep eating your lettuce shit and keep telling yourself how you're saving animals on a daily. When in reality vegans is less than 10% of the world. hell probably less than 5%. That is chump change my dude. The pig and chicken you dont eat, someone else eats.

+Plague Doc Some great understanding of statistics there. If there's 10% less people in a population that's eating meat, then it means there is less demand on those products. Durr hurr. There's no alternative line where people get to go, "I'll have his share if he won't eat it!", dude.
@Plague_Doc22

Emil Sinclair What I'm saying is that if 10% were to cut meat completetly. That 10% is going to be consumed regardless. They're not going to start farming less animals. There needs to be a huge difference like 30% or more for it to really have an impact.
