Joe Rogan Experience #699: "What I like about Ronda" featuring Donald Cerrone. Joe's Rousey obsession is just getting weird, never seen one man attempt so many Rousey tangents in 2 hours.
@sharkyh73279 жыл бұрын
He wants her bad, just once he's so attached and captivated by her, I was surprised he made that podcast all the way the rousey one, yes she's very good but technically in MMA she's not that good and her oppenents are quite low level, cat zingano is very good but she threw a flying knee in first 10 secs against rousey that's like swinging punches at Anthony Johnson or immediately trying to jacare on the ground it's stupid and Bethe correira was quite embarrassing, she beat two people who should be cut from the ufc to get a title shot
@sharkyh73279 жыл бұрын
+Landau I wouldn't that harsh but in reality it's the truth in term of oppenents, they're are not even close to any of the champs oppenents, I mean Weidman is fighting rockhold, there is absolutely no one in rousey weightclass as comparatively good to rockhold including rousey. Let's face its cause she's female and beating very low level comp very quickly, I feel sorry for the other champions who have substantially harder oppenents but get like 10% of the accolades or attention rousey gets.

Around 1:07:00 Cerrone is talking about being in a zone when fighting at his best. I think any artist can relate somewhat. As a musician, I live in that zone. It almost feels like you aren't controlling your body, but that is just the drills taking over. It allows your body to go on auto pilot, where the mind can be free to improvise. When the zone isn't there, it becomes very mechanical & lifeless.

+Surface Reflection Well the UFC is filled with inspiring athletes, it's getting tiredsome hearing him praising Ronda to the skies. After the hype train Ronda been riding, Joe has made his opinion clear and it's annoying constantly hearing about Ronda when MMA is talked about.
@ShlomoMetzenbaum9 жыл бұрын
Surface Reflection He talked about her striking again like she is some sort of golden gloves champ. Even Donald was like "man she wasn't technical she was just swinging for the fences". Joe tried to say all of her punches thrown at Bethe were thrown with precision and technique when in reality she was flailing her arms like an animal trying to escape a net. Then when Donald said he doesn't think Ronda is hot, Joe almost puked up his stomach. I dont know what the hell has happened with Jogan in terms of Ronda, but its just gotten plain weird.
@surfacereflection82989 жыл бұрын
Thats a weird ass re interpretation of what actually happened but freak yourself out. For the record Ronda threw a few swinging punches the rest were on point and technique. If any mistakes were there its that she was brawling in a second or two, so she got a few hits too, not that those stopped her much. But that was the intent, to overwhelm, anyway. Like, in reality.

Donald is a cool and interesting dude,but i feel like as soon as he got a little drunk,he became a tiny bit annoying.

+Martial Arts Mecca No bro I think it was fine. Everybody can be annoying after a few beers, or even sober. The important thing to know is that he's a good person and hes a fucking good fighter. :)

***** Because, my friend, we're not talking about the podcast. His comment was about Cerrone being annoying when he's drunk. Not annoying on the podcast specifically. Na'mean?

+Martial Arts Mecca Yeah I like Cerrone, but he has a very short attention span. Kept interrupting the last 30-40 minutes about random topics, while they were on a certain topic.

EMS worker here... once had a body recovery where a toy poodle ate the face off of an old lady. looked like red skull from captain america with curly white hair. The neighbors insisted on taking the dog because it was the old ladies pride and joy and she would never want it in an animal control facility. On that note... solid cast!

Also Joe, the NBA has enforcers they just dont do it in a similar way. They give out hard fouls (and i mean like you're in the air and someone throws you down to the ground type of shit). They just have to be smater about it because the NBA doesnt like their players getting hurt so they fine/suspend you for anything.

Also, they revamped their image in late 90's/early 00's to get rid of all the "thug shit."
