Considering he did this for his dad he laid it all out ,opened up that heart & it just flowed out of him, as is the case each time he goes to this one song. Of of today's best players he never holds back. This is not so much depression but love soul & the memories he had with his father. Sad but a moving expression of just how good Joe is .

What makes Satch's playing so unique is the ability to modulate and coax the tone into cries, wails and those sustaining climaxes . His mastery over tones, with the whammy, volume swells and pinch harmonics call for some serious applause

When Joe plays he plays for his fans but when it comes to this song he plays it for his Dad & it's not hard to see & feel the emotion pour out & why he doesn't smile when the song is over . I've lost both my parents & even at 67 i still that feeling of being an orphan as it is what you become when you lose your parents. How he got Guthrie Govan's band to back him i don't know but wow that's one magical two super talented players.

Satriani needs to be considered the most melodic guitar player in the history of mankind. He is the Paul McCartney of guitar playing.

Paul McCartney does play bass guitar after all and "regular" guitar as well. Does not one say something more along the lines of, e.g., he is the Tiger Woods of guitar playing or Michael Jordan of guitar playing? :-)

Joe is the most virtuoso emotion translator over guitar. Then come the rest . With Pink Floyd in the lower complexity spectra(gilmour plays easy stuff but so powerful and emotional and perfect) he hits hard on emotionality .
