This Guy is a guitar GOD!!! Look up his Bio! Deep Purple was one of the first bands he played in! Holy Crap... Also, Taught so many others! Even Kirk Hammitt! (Metallica), Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepard!! I am so glad you recognize Joe's Skillz. And he ALWAYS HAS THE VERY BEST BACKUP BAND EVER!! Drums, Guitar, and Keyboard!!

Joe is the King of Melody. He gets all these ideas and then puts them to his guitar and blows my mind how much he can do and still stay within the confines of the melody.

The bass player is Dave LaRue and has been touring with John Petrucci, the lead guitarist of Dream Theater on his solo tours. Dave is one of the best touring bassists Joe has had along with the legendary Stu Hamm and his current touring bass player, the amazing Bryan Beller. I totally agree with your points on his musicianship.

His guitar is actually a chrome guitar, which is why it’s so shiny and reflective! I think it’s an Ibanez JS2PRM

This guitar is his original "Chromeboy". A prototype Ibanez gave to him when they dipped the body in molten chrome. There's clear tape to protect the finish from his pick between the pickups which are Dimarzio. I've seen Joe twice- you go out after the show in silence. It's absolute joy and happiness the entire show- it makes you cry. Love this song.

New album by Satriani out yesterday (4/8), "The Elephants of Mars". Check out the super groovy "Sahara". The performance you picked is definitely one of Joe's best of the last ten to fifteen years but there is a ton of great stuff out there. He has a remarkably consistent range of output over the last 35 years and almost twenty albums. His new album is extremely masterful as well!

Just Saw him Play "Sahara" live in Spokane, Washington Sept 29th 3rd time seeing him LIVE!! This time with my elder son! His first concert! He had a BLAST!!! Good Times.....If you ever get a chance to see him live.. SELL everything you have to see him! you won't regret it!!

The drummer is Jeff Campitelli, one of Joe's oldest friends. They were in the band "The Squares" together in the early 80s and their album is available on Joe's KZbin channel.
