Excellent episode. It's so amazing how Joe the Boss, achieved to overpowered all the other gangsters in America and build a syndicate exploding from Canada to Florida. Masseria was behind Yale's import network from Canada. Yale was his caporegime in Brooklyn, until he switched sides to D'Aquila and got punished for that. In 1928, Joe the Boss eliminated all the obstacles in his ultimate domination over US Underworld. Frankie Yale, Salvatore D'Aquila and Arnold Rothstein. About Rothstein, it's not very known among the investigators of the mob history, but it's truth. Rothstein was in big decline, and it was the perfect opportunity for Masseria to get rid of him and took over most of his operation. He gave the contract to Dutch Schultz, who was a Masseria Family associate, subordinate to Ciro Terranova (that's stated by Schultz's own lawyer-the Dutchman was paying 25% of his profits to Terranova). The thing that Jimmy Mian was working for the Boss, it's another proof. It was Masseria all along. And about the end of the Castellammarese War, Masseria wasn't really about to submit to Maranzano. He was bloffing. He used the same tactic he had used with Valenti, in order to buy some time and prepare a big attack against Maranzano. However, the "Young Turks" had their own, secret plans!!! P.S. Masseria Family was not 500 soldiers. It was over 600!!!
