just have to share this one. A coupe of months ago , I took the kayak out of the barn to get ready for fishing. At 73 and still feeling quiet young . Got into the the kayak and checked everything out and was good to go. Good thing the only witness was the dog with me trying to get get out of the boat. Getting old is no joke and had to roll over and crawl out. Every day is a gift from God and dont waste them.

Hey Joe, you were lucky he didn't break the glass in the door. I have lived in Alaska all my life, 73 years and I have had more encounters with bears than you can imagine. I have only killed 3 bears in that time when they charged and meant business. I keep my old short barrel Mossberg handy. The first round is a Bean Bag load and the rest are slugs, usually the Bean Bag does the trick. On 3 of my cabins, I built guards from rebar for my windows and doors, they work great. Hope you get the front of the tent beefed up. hope your dad is doing well and has a speedy recovery.
