When I started taking Creatine 20 years ago, the normal way to take it was to do a loading phase followed by a maintenance. Given the amount I needed to pee whilst on the loading phase, I decided it is unsafe in high volumes. I also would wake up with calf cramps or have cramps when playing rugby… which I had never had before taking it. The other side effect I noticed was my hair would fall out. Now whether this was caused by the creatine director or just higher levels of Test due to increased training, I’m not sure, but others have said it made their hair fall out too. If I take it now, I just take a small amount. Previously my muscles would just ballon with water and when I came off it, it would all disappear. I do wonder what health issue will exist in 50yrs time when the impact of excessive protein and these types of supplements are recognised.

💯 i hope many people will like this comment for awareness... when u put too much creatine in your bloodstream remember your kidney filters it and if u do that many times your kidney will not function well in the future and u need maintenance the medicines are expensive or in some cases kidney transplant....not only that but if you drink soda or too much protein especially red meat your kidney is affected and other organs.. so for me more veggies on your diet.. it has a better contents of macro and micro nutrients and drink lots of water..

I recently used creatine for about 30 days, I train exclusively calisthenics. I did not notice a big difference between training with or without creatine. My muscles got a bit bigger, but I think if I trained without creatine it would have been the same result. Also during and after training I did not notice a significant difference in strength. Maybe creatine isn't as effective for calisthenics athletes as for gym athletes, since you are certainly heavier while using creatine because your muscles have more water in them (this is true, look it up). My advice would be, watch your diet, you wanna eat healthy during your creatine intake period. Train consistent, you won't see any results if you dont train, obviously. And watch your progress/transformation closely, you might think you're not seeing any results while you are actually getting ripped af, so take photos! As for side effects, I only noticed feeling bloated a lot more, certainly after having my shake.

@imjoecorner3 жыл бұрын
@@DavidSmith-lk3yf It's highly improbable that your progress has been impaired as a result of taking creatine. I'm willing to bet that it would be culmination of training, nutrition and recovery that has potentially halted your progression not the supplement itself. If the rest of the factors are dialed in correctly as you would imply, then you would of made progress regardless of your supplementation. Adding in creatine will never be a deciding factor on how you move forward in terms of either body weight or progression in the gym. Creatine will saturate the muscles and allow you to push that a little bit harder, but if you're relying on it to take you to the next level then you need to take a step back and reassess your approach.

Doesn't creatine hold more water in your muscles? So it looks like you have big muscles, but no power behind them?
@kaskaprl46993 жыл бұрын
yes but it leads to you being able to build more strength quicker than without. maybe at the start that is the case but not with time.
