I have pectus excavatum rated as an 8. I have considered doing the surgery if medical concerns arise, but at the moment the doctors say my chest morphology is adequate to keep my heart safe. 99% of the time, I am completely oblivious to the abnormality of my chest compared to others. I'm only ever reminded when someone sees my chest for the first time and they can't help but comment (I don't mind it at this point). It's part of me, and I would only ever change it if I had to. I do understand that some people are very conscious of their pectus, and I 100% respect their choice to elect surgery. I'd never be as gorgeous as this guy, even with a million dollars of additional surgery, so I think I'm good for now 😂

I have the same condition...unfortunately my insurance doesn’t cover the surgery bc they consider it “cosmetic” 🙄 I wish more insurance companies would do better research about these types of conditions bc they can be very harmful. Luckily I have not experienced anything serious yet...
