No matter which branch of the military you serve,you learn things your parents won't teach you(Unless they we're military) or school, you will learn of brotherhood,fidelity,Honor, respect courage,Knowing that the people you serve with will always have your back, you will have a lot of challenges,& how to deal with them, you will be a part of something bigger than yourself, what ever you do in the military will stick with you for the rest of your life,when you retire,you will look back at the time you served in the military,you will say,"Those we're the best days of my life" Sgt Mike 509th Airborne, 20th Special Forces Group, 1970-1983

I would recommend to join reserves first off. Secondly MAKE SURE YOU PICK THE JOB YOU WANT AND TAKE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT. If you decide to go active duty go fucking 4 years do not let the recruiters sweet talk you into 6 its not worth it if you decide you love the Air Force then you can re-enlist after the 4.

Hey Kyle ,my name is Darius Johnson im 19 live in Little Rock Arkansas and I have recently started watching your videos and I can truly say that they help. Before them I was so confused and lost that it was ridiculous. Every time I went into the recruiter office or talk to one I would get extremely nervous because I didn't kno what to expect. And being chased down because of my score as 67 on asvab and years of jrotc by some recruiters didn't help because it made me feel like ...hey why you pressuring me ...but watching your transformation through these videos I've been binge watching really helped my mind settle and clear because I have a girlfriend been together 2years and although I know that could change at any time I still can't help but think that the military would help to better any future financially, get me back in college (I lost full tuition scholarship by dropping a class and my advisor didn't warn me) ,travel wise and just basically turn me into the man I seek to be so I think that I will pursue it but I still have some jitters but not as it use to be because of your videos. My only two problems left are 1, I am over my what is said to be my weight limit but I'm not out of shape personally because I still work out , got muscles and feel that I can do whatever anyone else can but I heard the army would accept me and put me on a diet plan maybe going to check it out today and see...not my first choice but I don't know if Air Force would do the same so o well I guess. My 2nd problem is am I to go reserve and do college hopefully at UAM or active and explore then do college later... sorry that was long but if you can help me weather on here or facebook because it is my name as said before. If you're still reading this thank you and hope to be hearing from you soon and keep the videos coming.

darius johnson I'm not Kyle but I happen to be 19 as well I'm in the army dep program I'm set to ship to basic on may 30th and I'm 5'9 and weigh in at 215 but here is the thing I'm not out of shape but in my opinion I'm a big boy but no the army doesn't do a diet plan what they do is they will take you and Depending on your height and your weight they will tape you I think mine is somewhere in the 190s but I'm under 24 percent body fat so I'm allowed to stay so you'll do fine as long as it's there I suggest losing it all but my piece of advise to you talk to all the branches each recruiter is different some are good at their job some are not they are there to recruit you remember this when looking the army is good at recruiting they will get you in fast they move so fast that you don't really have time to think I scored a 66 I now have a intel job that isn't offered that much there was only two spaces for the entire state and I got the last one they'll feed you a bunch of crap but some of it is true but don't do me where I only looked at the army I regret it but I'm already signed my contract and don't feel like losing this job this is long but that's the best advice I can give you personally I know I'm not Kyle but I hope this helps and also with the army don't fall for the oh I can get you special forces or ranger you may have the contract signed but think about it heavily and what it entails.

Just wondering do you think having a stable job and being able to travel are good reasons to join and how did you deal with being away from your family for the first time? Could you possibly do a comparison video between Commissioned Officers and Enlisted Airmen? I really have been struggling with this topic and it would be nice to hear views from someone who is in the Air Force rather than civilians.
@hellseagle218 жыл бұрын
There's nothing super different. Officers and Enlisted obviously have completely different career fields, for example Enlisted simply can't become pilots. Officers outrank all enlisted members, but of course those junior officers lie lieutenants highly respect experienced enlisted since they still know more about being in the air force. In the Air Force the enlisted ranks go from E-1 Airmen basic to E-9 a chief Master Sargent while officers is O-1 2nd lieutenant, up to an O-10 General. Officers have to have at least a 4 year degree and most of the time has to be in the field that they're gonna train in, in the Air Force, so you won't see fighter pilots with a biology degree. Since officers outrank enlisted they get more pay, enlisted members salute all officers when outside. Really there isn't a big difference to enlisted and officers, for civilians it's like someone with a higher education after college gets a higher pay and is entrusted with more responsibilities since officers are meant to be leaders. In my opinion if you want the Air Force to be a career invest into it, go to school and become an Officer, if you want to use the Air Force for things like education, experience, and new skills right out of high school or really whenever Enlisted is perfect.

Join after you at least have an AA/AS, if you go enlisted thoroughly look through all the jobs available to you and understand them. Even enlisted when you/if you get in start TA ASAP get your BA for free through the military don't even touch your GI if possible, you have FASFA to help you as well get your BA and then go officer. Biggest difference yes is there are different jobs I personally like enlisted opportunities more. Officer life seems more office job; which is fine obviously it pays better. End result if you want to career it or be a "lifer" try to end an officer. (I'm not AF, I'm navy but it does work the same for the most part)

Hey Kyle, I found your channel earlier this week becuz I was looking into USAF Security Forces and what its like. Your vid about single Militray Pay came up as reccomended so I decided to check you out and I dont regret it lol I enjoy the content you provide in your product, very insightful. I plan on enlisting as soon as I can meet the weight requirement. I had 50 pounds to lose, now Im down to only having to lose 20 lbs. I wanna strive for a little more than that becuz I heard its good to go slightly under the required weight. But Im really dedicating myself to this transformation becuz I want this change in my life so bad. My cousin is an E-5 Staff Sergeant his duty title is Security Forces Instructor/Breacher Program Manager and I want to go along a similar path but not necesssarily identical. I plan on taking every training oppurtunity I get. I wanna take the Ranger program/course also If I get the chance. Maybe Raven as well. I want to excel and be a part of a tactical force eventually. I even entertained the idea of becoming a Military Working Dog Handler becuz I love dogs too. I know alot of people talk down on SF becuz of the long hours or "boring gate duty, checkin ID's" but I dont let that discourage me. I do security currently in the civilian world so Im already kind of used to that apsect of it. Like I said I want to excel and get promoted and develop skills that I can use once I leave the service. Long story short, I just wanted to say thanks for the content, its been really helpful, and encouraging.

Hi there Kyle. Thank you very much for this information and all your videos. I really wished my son would have seen this video before he joined the AirForce. My son is very intelligent and has always wanted to be a heart surgeon since he was about 8 years old. Anyway, we have 6 kids and he is 2nd to the youngest. I honestly feel if had really done his research like we prodded him to, that he might not have joined the AirForce. It is very honorable to serve our country and does have many perks, but it is definitely not for most people. My son graduated high school with honors and an Associates Degree at age 17. He has for the most part been very determined to succeed at whatever he does and with excellence. My concern is how being in the AirForce has changed him. I really miss his funny and thoughtful personality. Now my son is so rigid, very introverted and seems detached from his family. I feel like I've lost the bond with my son and he is a totally different person. On top of that he is not happy with the job he was assigned or that he didn't get an out of the states first duty station. He is trying to make the best of it. There are so many other things that concern me. My advice as a mom for anyone considering the military is to watch your videos, do extensive research and count the cost!! It is a huge decision to make and will change someone for the better, worse or both. Also my husband served in the AirForce and he and my son are totally different. At this point I could see how the AirForce was good for my husband but not for my son. Thank you and Makenna for all you do to help others. If yall ever want to reach out or respond to my posts, please email me. pjntksmith@comcast.net God bless you both!!

You sound like an amazing Mom. Your son is lucky to have such a caring concerned mother. There are plenty of children and teenagers out there who don't have this in their life. My mother, girlfriend, and even I am concerned about the change of personality and emotions in me. I'm thinking about just switching from active duty Navy to National Guard. And hope to not be deployed to the middle east to see combat but instead to help people in need in any way possible. I hope you son comes around and nothing bad happens to anyone or myself.

bigzachful Thank you for your response. I'm sorry that your family and you have the same concerns. It really is NOT a path for the masses and it should be thought about very seriously. I will be praying for you and your family as you walk this journey. I pray for your safety, healing of any harmful mindset and peace for you and your loved ones. Thank you again for responding. Sometimes I feel so alone in all this.

I'm 29 and a single working mom, full-time college student. I'm almost done with school just got a few months to go. I will have 48 credits and can go into the military as a E3. I'm debating if I should go in as a E3 in the medical field or go in as a E1 to become a photographer since I do photography.

but i think u might be confused because the college credit should make u e3 no matter what enlisted job u pick. did u take the asvab and physical yet?
@Beautifulblessings887 жыл бұрын
UMassForTrump I am getting certified as a medical assistant with the credits so I thought I can only use that certification for only medical jobs. I have not talked to a recruiter yet.
