That’s because they know there is no agenda on this show. They know they don’t have to speak a certain way, and they know they don’t have to act a certain way. It’s like talking to a friend at a restaurant. They know things can’t be used against them like they do in media, there isn’t a sense of fakeness, mainstream PC language, all those lights and so on. It’s a much different world when you go on a mainstream show vs like a podcast. All those things to contribute to people being much more relaxed and ready to talk.

What really bugs me is how Sean Lennon is old enough to know that his brother, Julian, got screwed over by Yoko through being deprived of a share of John Lennon's music catalogue--Sean is old enough to actually do something about it, but chooses not to, and despite this, Julian shows him love and kindness---far more than he deserves. Just shows what a great guy Julian is
@RachaelRoessler
@RachaelRoessler Ай бұрын
I don't believe Sean had much control over it, Yoko did. We know how she is. Julian is a good man and I love that he and Sean are close despite her toxicity. Don't blame Sean though, he had nothing to do with the will!

Easier said than done. I think the two brothers would rather make peace and not argue about money. Yoko is Yoko no matter how old she gets - she's always been a very domineering manipulative type woman, very disagreeable in nature, broke up the Beatles. Sean can't beg her to give Julian his "fair share" and that's certainly not his place or responsibility either! Julian worked his way from the ground up and does very well for himself. He knows that, I infer he doesn't give a fuck about the inheritance shit at this point in his life. They are both talented, successful artists in their own right, unlike Yoko ever 🙄. The talent came from John. Their goodness just innate. I have massive respect for both of them. Realize, we haven't lived their lives and cannot possibly fathom how we would've handled things going through the same situation. They handled it with grace, love, empathy. ❤️

I bought julien lennon a drink at the rainbow bar and grille, in L.A probabyly 1991 maybe. He came in sat down at a table ,i didnt even go say hi or anything ,i just told the waitress ,if he would like a drink its on us and he accepted and looked iver at me and put his hand up to say thanks. I think he appreciated that we didnt go over to him and ask for an autograph or anything. Which i would never do with any famous people, but it was a cool moment.

Julian Lennon's last album "JUDE" was without a doubt his best recording to date. Incredible record. I have been a life long fan of his work. When I finished listening to the album, a sadness came over me. Because I knew I had just experienced something really special, and I knew most people will never hear what I just heard. The fact US and British TV would deny Julian a chance to re connect with the world (and his many fans) is a crime. Bless this man. And yes. "Saltwater" is an amazing song. I had no idea it was so well known outside of North America. Well done sir.

Great conversation and proof of how this show really exposes the personality of someone who normally is not given enough time in public interviews to let their true self come through.
