I remember seeing a cool statement about aliens it went something like this "Not believing in aliens is like taking a spoonful of water out of the ocean and saying that sharks and whales don't exist because there's none in my spoon"
@jasonpapai732 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's fucking stupid
@JFitable2 жыл бұрын
I did some napkin calculations some time ago and it came down to if you took the surface of the oceans and compared it to the size of the known universe (or galaxy, I forget what I picked), you would stand in the water and look at like a 2-3ft diameter circle around you and if you didn't see any fish or ocean life you would come to the conclusion that the entirety of the oceans is devoid of life. That is what the statement of there is no life in the galaxy is analogous to. I may have missed a small bit of scale there but essentially we have a very very VERY tiny view of what's going on "out there" that to make any claim at all would be drastically misrepresentative
@sophx30042 жыл бұрын

The whole conversation about why we haven't heard from any alien species is simple. they don't use radio waves to communicate. If they can travel faster than light it is logical to assume they use faster than light communication capabilities. How else could they maintain any sort of exploration? Think of how difficult it is to direct our robots on Mars and we can see that planet with our bare eyes.
@carbsncaffeine92542 жыл бұрын
exactly. and the span of time a civilization actually uses radio waves could be very short lived.
@phoqyu4721 Жыл бұрын
Yes i agree, but physically speaking they could just loud speaker us from the sky assuming they have visited. Lately, I have been coming around to this idea that they are here but the big thing about them is that they actually look similar to us, so more interested in levers of power over civilization then they are communicating with us all. So, in that sense, they are communicating with us. Imagine what we would do if we found a planet full of human like creatures living in the medieval ages... Pretty sure we would want to insert ourselves as God like King's instead of deploying our tech to aid in their evolution. Just a thought.
@sultankebab1587 Жыл бұрын
I mean there might not even be any way to communicate that fast but they most likely not use radio waves but maybe they have just messengers with light speed ships because there is no other way like here in the middle ages, there must be a ton of different alien species if they exist and with different biology and lifespans so travelong around with messages might be nothing to them, who knows.

Kenneth Arnold saw strange crafts in June 1947, flying in an echelon formation over Mt. Rainier and reported the sun glistening off of the shining surface to have caught his attention. Further, he also reported that one appeared to have been wobbling like when throwing a stone over water. He went on to draw what looked like Batmans batterang. Looking at his art rendering, the craft that he drew looked very similar to the Horten Ho 229, a fixed wing craft that was designed in the 1930's in Germany. The Roswell incident occurred July 1947. That same design was later used in the 1970's by the US and ultimately became the B2 Spirit. All of this is very fascinating. I wonder if what Arnold saw was German tech in US airspace?

Earth 1 and Earth 2 did collide and resulted in the formation of our moon, however, it did not directly create the astroid belt. The standard theory is the movement of the orbits of the gas giants caused other proto-planets to crash into each other. And when the gas giants settled into their new orbits, the gravitational tug of war between the Sun, Jupiter and the rest of the planets would not allow the astroid belt to condense into a planet.

Maybe they persive time different than humans so we only think they would've already went viking on earths resources, maybe nothing on earth is of any interest nor use to them. Also why are we so sure they have the "uf Army" with them traveling all that space time, that is if they need to travel at all that far in their own mind, send the probes first and document the place, then if need be send the Cavallari. Maybe they got lucky cuz they arent trillion times smarter than us and got lucky with their probes, tic tac probes, im thinking of you, and the data gathered by the tic tacs did not justify the hassle of sending UF troops to earth, and the tic tacs are used as satellites until further notice. Or perhaps this ufo is all just a load of horse shit, and we are never gonna find out if anyone is out there. I'm rambling. My english is not my mother tongue and i suck at writing correctly no matter the tongue is being butchered, be it my own or one of a very few that i pretend to know, english being second after my mother language im rambling again. Sorry and thank you and good bye. Ps thank KZbin for the red line under all the misspelled words so i can edit on the fly. I think the size of the aliens would play a role in it also, we tend to think of aliens being about the same size of us.. but if aliens were the size of mice, or a teacup dog, they probably wouldn't want to risk interactions with other beings that are Giants compared to them.. They also might have never developed entertainment like we do, they might be fascinated by our broadcasts, and watch us like a reality show.. We seem to think they are going to think, communicate, look and behave like us. They may have no concept of fear, sadness, love, happiness, regret or anything to the extent that we do.. they might just be purely research driven, without the drive to interact with the research they are doing because it might taint their results...
