man i hate when there is 10 switches for a car that everything should be automated in, since it can be done safely and easily, easier than wiring 10 switches.
@yarrdayarrdayarrda2 жыл бұрын
Did some work to an old bracket car, new to the owner, not only did it have 10,000 gauges and switches, it also had override switches for many of the functions. You'd think the car was designed by an aircraft tech, but wired by Skippy the wonder muffin. (behind the panel was a 5 pound portion of spaghetti and meatballs)
@Headsup95502 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing about the switches! I have an unhealthy habit of looking at cars no matter how awesome they aren't, getting hung up on what I'd change if it were mine. I think we all do it to an extent.. As always, Joe makes it look easy! This guy is the tuner's tuner! I thoroughly enjoy watching Joe's videos. I also like the, at least partial transparency when it comes to the things that aren't planned..😂

@@bigboreracing356 Good grief there was a dozen or so (many unmarked) switches and 8 to 10 gauges. Way overkill for a bracket car that needs a basic 5 switch maximum system with a tach/oil pressure/water temperature and that's that. It really wasn't supposed to be all that interesting. bye

Any chance you could do a video showing how you set up pid boost control for co2? There are a few out there but none go any further than the strip map and none show how it acts right with actual boost

@17:51 Wouldn't you rather have the IAT sensor in the manifold rather than the charge pipe so you get a more accurate reading/number for intake air temp?

no

I was wondering about the IAT Temps when I seen them. I'm running the sensor in the intake manifold also. starts high until boos comes in. Running an air to air intercooler and I usually see it drop 50 or so degrees depending on the day.

I enjoyed this video . Could you explain dome pressure. Is that another name for intake manifold pressure?
@JoeSimpsonAtTempest2 жыл бұрын
It’s how much pressure(usually Co2) you apply to the top port of the wastegate to make the boost go up
@boostedmopar12 жыл бұрын
I thought about running CO2 for boost control for about.2ms... onboard air doesn’t weigh any more and is never empty.
@Headsup95502 жыл бұрын
"Much"... doesn't weigh "MUCH" more. A compressor/tank has to weigh more than just a bottle, or at least I think it would. BTW, this comment is not to split hairs or be a dick, I'm really just hoping you're about to tell me about some plastic/titanium/carbon compressor that's now available or something..😂
