I mean he’s always been really good friends with Joe rogan so that opens a lot of doors since rogans so liked. I don’t think shaub would have got as far without the help of rogan and callen when it comes to his podcast and comedy. I actually think his podcast is better than his stand up mainly because he listens. I’m not a hater of shaub I just think he’s better at listening than contributing to a conversation unless it’s callen then he can be funny.

Joey Diaz isn't that funny. I understand that humor is subjective but there are qualities which i imagine define what a good comic looks like. Diaz is repetitive, not particularly creative or clever. He tells crude stories and that's about it, his takes on things are pretty conventional boomer views with an accent...oh and he's fat. Real genius. My point is that i'm not even sure he knows what it takes to be a great comic, guys like him,ari and Joe make me cringe because they have this weird elitist view of stand up even though ironically they're not even close to the top of their craft.

If someone pulled up to my house in a new Ferrari and said “I’m gonna give you the keys, I want you to have this, it’s not the best Ferrari they make but it’ll get you places, there’s no payments or nothing , free of charge, take this”, it doesn’t take much brains to grab the keys .

You fucking people are INSANE to think that anyone who makes it to the UFC is a bad fighter. They may have bad fights from time to time, but they don't get to that point by sucking at what they do. Here's the flip side of this, and idk, maybe some people can relate. I am a Brendan Schaub. There are many things I'm good at, just not good enough. I have a mentor in my life, much like Joe Rogan. He's excelled, beat the odds, and inspires many people. I idolize my Joe Rogan, and we haven't spoke in almost a year. It's things like Joey Diaz saying "I'm avoiding you," that fuel my anxiety and depression because I KNOW I can never reach that mentor's level. You have the heart of a lion, but there is absolutely NOTHING you can do, to gain the approval of a man that is not your biological father. I have real problems and real issues just as a result of being alive, but I sincerely empathize with Brendan to know that even if "you make it," your Joe Rogan won't necessarily grant you the recognition.

Well...since you're trying to keep it somewhat a debate: I find it has potential because he's a big fucking dude who dresses like a fuckboy. His delivery is a bit off, but he does hit the voice inflections that alot of good comics do. Im not saying I doubled over in laughter at any point. Im simply saying that if he just keeps working on his standup and delivery, he has potential to be funny. Did he deserve a stand up special this early? No. But fuckit he got it and did the best he can do with it. I havce seen wayyyyy unfunnier comics on tv, in real life and listened to on records. Trust me, he has potential to be funny. And leave mathematics out of this unless you really wanna confuse Schaub.
