Realest shit ever though. You can’t force someone to be done or stop when they are not ready too, that never works. There are the very VERY few exception but 99/100 times that person is going to release because they weren’t ready. Was the only one of my buddies to never say I’m gonna quit soon because I knew that when I was finally done and ready that I would be just like I did the same with smoking ciggs. Have been clean for almost a decade now and so glad I did it. My life significantly has changed for the better since getting clean and it was only because I was finally fed up and enough was enough. Good luck to all those out there struggling and not quite ready to be done with that life. Nothing but prayers and positive blessings your way, make sure once you are finally done and ready to have a strong support team by your side filled with real loved ones.

I won that battle, & those 3 dudes are who i have to thank more than anyone or anything (other than myself)… the world needs more love. i hope & pray that everyone that reads this, & everyone on Earth can find at least 1 friendship similar to Joe Rogan & Uncle Joey’s. 🖤🥂💪🏼🙏🏼

What makes her even more amazing is the fact that addiction is everyday present in addicts' lifes. It is not really like snapping on's fingers and everything is done forever. @@asdfds6752 What he's saying is actually not far from the truth. Few addicts really struggle with their addiction. Most of those are people who were exposed to that shit very early on. They were either given birth by an addict, got hooked on it as childen or in their early teen years. Those are the group of people who struggle most with their addictions & who go through hell to maintain their sobriety. Others who actually got into drugs in their 20's or later most of them are just weak minded & are making excuses. Of course not all drugs are the same nor are addicts but if you've been around people who got off that shit most of them will tell you the same things he said.

Absolutely. I was on prescription opiates, by the ziplock bag, progressed into heroin after they all got sniped, then quickly into fetty because my tolerance was so ridiculous already. Was a 11 year adventure, 12-23, and I went broke, plug got locked up, customers went broke, became homeless, and before I ever hit the street, I checked into a 30 day rehab, and haven’t looked back. I ended up getting my Hep C cured, got diagnosed with stage 2 Lymphoma, beat it, got my Ls back, got a good Union construction job, and I already own another home, and am 18 months clean. Not all drug addicts, want to better their lives. And there isn’t a damn thing we can do for those people. We can however stop it at the beginning, with proper education, and examples. Bring your middle school down Kensington on the 1st of the month. They will be absolutely horrified.
@mikemugs7
@mikemugs7 Жыл бұрын
What is Fetty like? Similar bc your tolerance was so high?
@JTD472
@JTD472 Жыл бұрын
@@mikemugs7 in my experience it’s more powerful but less “euphoric” than regular dope/heroin and oxy and stuff, but that may be in part because it would basically knock me out. Not to mention that by the time I was doing that, I already had a high tolerance and so the pleasure/euphoria is already greatly reduced. Basically once your tolerance is that high, the pleasure you get from it (or any of them) is reduced but meanwhile it can still kill you. It is somewhat hard to compare them for that reason. People who have tried fentanyl usually already have a tolerance and so the “data” gets murky, or if they didn’t have a tolerance and used some, it probably was not a great experience.

I got my mom clean she been over 14 years clean now. I got her clean we lost everything we were all separated staying with family sleeping on couches being treated like shit so I told mom since she won't quit then I'm gonna join her. One day I passed out on Roxy's and almost died at a family function in front of my mom and her sisters and embarrassed and her hurt very deeply. In the hospital I told her I wouldn't quit unless she quit doing crack the next few weeks I saw my mom make a complete transformation, in two months time she had an apartment and a job 6 months you can tekk she was clean as a whistle amd had all her kids and grandkids back together in one shibang. And we left drugs alone and never looked back. Mom hates drugs now and helps people get clean. She is the sweetest lady you'd ever wanna meet and had changed so many lives and people love Judy Marie..I love my mom and I. I’m sure I’m like most poor bastards who don’t even wanna fuck around with opioids but either take em or be in intractable agonizing pain constantly. It was the same with me for both alcohol and drugs, I didn't have any health scares, but on both occasions it was me sitting in my one room apartments which were my preferred environments during rounds of substance abuse, and the "weirdest thing" for me as Joey talks about involved me just looking around at the broken state of things, at the space I lived in, the cradle of my reality, and I not liking what I saw. Having been there before, every time I'm tempted all I have to do is remember what it was like during that time when I felt i had reached the end of myself. Joey Diaz is a dawg. He is well tempered by life lessons hard learned. Im noticing how his age is starting to show a bit more, and i can't help but think of all the legends of my generation are aging and passing away. Im just happy he is still with us, and will be for a while.

You will man. What got me out of it was being forced to move back in with my mom because I had no other options. Then I got a job I actually liked. Made decent money and started finding interest in hobbies again. Then I had my breaking point and found help getting clean. Suboxone treatment for over 2 years. Got my own place. Now I’m my own motivation. It still gets lonely and I still want to get high sometimes. But I know if I do then all that work will be for nothing. A small change can make the biggest difference in your life homie, keep at it

You know it’s funny, I’m 38 days into recovery, no rehab just going to CA meetings, and I applaud Joey’s ability to still smoke weed and not let that lead to other old behaviours, I simply cannot do that, now or ever it was always one of anything would lead me to mountains of coke over days and days, carnage every time😂 I’m glad it’s over and pray I keep going!

Yeah i was addicted for 10 years and just out of nowhere one day i couldnt find anything to take and that same day i met my now wife. We've been together and ive been clean for 10 years now never looked back or picked anything else up evee again. I cant promise it wont be hard because it will be, but what i can promise you is that starting to live a normal life again and not having to rely on shit to get you through the day is better then any high, just feeling your life coming back to you is such an amazing feeling.

Took my unlce 9 times at rehab till he finally got clean from cocaine and alcohol, he ended up dying about 15 years later from pancreatic and liver cancer. Even in the end the doctors and friends offered him weed to help with the pain, nausia and loss of appitite but he refused. Said he amde a promise to god that if he helped him get clean hed never do any drugs ever again. Im not super religious but i respect him for keeping his word. ✌️

so so so so so true, my girl got me clean just by loving me. I was a addict for nearly 20 years, not a weekend warrior, a sleep on strangers floor, bus rides downtown under bridges to buy something, and so many other embarrising things. Through the grace of God bringing me someone who made me see things straight. Rehab is just where you find your best partners.
