This song is especially powerful because Freddie was dying at this point, he was suffering from AIDS for 4 years prior and his body was still deteriorating, and died, I believe, less than a year after recording this, but he still put his all into the performance, even though he could barely stand the day of recording it, he was warned by Brian May that it might be too hard of a vocal track, but Freddie downed a shot of vodka and sang with all his might in one take what you hear in the song, he destroyed his vocal chords but he didnt care, he just wanted to make sure the show goes on and he really put all of his effort into it, he is easily one of the bravest people ever, he didn't give a shit that he was dying, he was still pushing his body to the limit up until he was bed ridden. A really touching and emotional song is the last song he ever recorded, Mother Love, that is the last time he recorded his voice, but halfway through, he was getting tired, so he said he'll continue the track in a few days, but he never came back. He died before he could finish the song, so in the song, after the guitar solo, the lead vocals change, and it's Brian May, their guitarist, because Freddie had died at the point and the rest of Queen wanted to finish the song, even though they waited 4 years after Freddie's death to record it because of how traumatic his death was to them, he was their best-friend and band mate for over 20 years, and then he's just gone, which really took a toll on them emotionally amd mentally. But after a few years, they built up the will power to finish recording the song and it sends shivers down my spine every time i hear it because of the back story, and towards the end of the song, you hear a ghostly "Mother love, Mother love" echo away, and its Freddie's voice, and its so chilling because he's dead at that point. And the end of the song , I believe, is a very small section of every Queen song from the end of their career to the beginning, and at the very end, it fades into the first song Freddie ever recorded. It's crazy, the last song he ever sang on, ends with the first song he ever sang on.

Innuendo is a special album (the last album where Freddie was still alive) and one of their best, even if it is hard to pick one over the other. As much as i like Show Must Go On, my favorite on the album is These Are The Days Of Our Lives, another bittersweet song that just grew and grew on me. You might not get same powerful reaction to it as Show Must Go On initially, but it's definitely one of the very best Queen songs IMO. Innuendo, the song (the last 4 Queen Albums had the same name as one of the tracks, 5 if you include Flash), is kind of like a 90s version of Bohemian Rhapsody, with epic features and multiple transitions. Definitely an experience.

Mercury was so ill when the band recorded the song in 1990 that May had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. Recalling Mercury's performance, May states; "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing.' Freddie was a TRUE artist. Like I’ve said before. Today’s artists (not all) are so interested in followers on Instagram, but would they tell bandmates to keep writing them songs to sing while they were dying? He told them to “release songs as long as you can after I’m gone.” He lost his vision, part of his foot... he was skeletal, and died not long after this was done. I hate being a downer but that’s not it. Like everyone else is saying, it’s amazing that he laid these vocals after downing some vodka, even though his throat was shot, and the guys doubted he could do it. He showed them, darling! I love this Queen trip you’re on. If you don’t do a review of the movie, I’m gonna be mad at you. Lol, jk.

This one of my favorite Queen songs! Sadly this was one of the last songs he recorded. I really enjoyed this reaction. I hope you react to Radio Gaga at Live Aid next!! Also I highly recommend White Queen (A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975) I recommend this one because it HAS to be listened to Live, it sounds so much better than the studio recording!

Co written by Freddy. It was his goodbye to this world. He knew he was dieing. I'm sure I saw a documentary where Brian May said that once he realised how I'll Freddy was then he also realised what Freddy wad saying in this song. Listen again with this in mind and it's such an emotional song x

This is my anthem. It's a constant reminder that no matter how hard life get, it isn't as bad as Freddie's was when he recorded this. He topped the Bill, he overkilled. He found the will to carry on and so must I. So I put on a smile and push through.

I remember that time, I was a teenager and a total Queen-Fan. Freddie’s voice is unique. I cried my eyes so out over days. I could not stop imagining how sick he must have been his last days, and how he must have felt. This is definitely one of the best, like also „time“, „motherlove“ and „how can I go on“.

Big fan of yours after seeing the react to queen vids. Ever listen to the original "We are the World" or anything by Styx like "Renegade" or "Come Sail Away"?

You are so right, every song is different and Freddie was the GREATEST!! Even with his health deteriorating he gave it his all!! I take this song as if he is telling his band and his fans, even with me not being here you must go on!! And that in itself gives me goosebumps!! Long live the memory of Freddie!!! ❤❤❤❤

This is one of the most powerful songs ever written, especially when you know the story behind it. And you can hear the dedication and the passion and the real emotion coming from the whole band pouring everything they have into it. It is just phenomenal.
