Can I offer a suggestion. Use the test pads to test the fuse that is on the board instead of trying to test the ends of the fuse. The pads are clean and will give a better reading.

At least you are not wearing latex gloves when soldering, I have a few colleagues that have been burnt. It is bad enough having a burn, but when you have molten rubber on the top it really upsets your day.

I'm new at this. So sorry if it's a stupid question :p - But why do you add leaded solder when removing the solder? Why not just remove the old, without applying new first? :) - Btw I love your videoes!
@screen-protector

Hahahah, you've made me laugh, Joey :D. This whole in the glove protects you :D, good one :D. I've got 3 questions by the way: 1. Why you've used so much airflow? I'd be scared to knock of the components on the back and that the M92 will be doing what it did? Is it working OK at other times? Surface tension works for me, but when the aligments in ideal, or nearly ideal. Especially with QFN type of chips I have to align it the best I can and either a small air flow, or holding it down. I can't od it otherwise :). 2. What's the difference of first cleaning off the flux, than removing this blob of solder, and than applying flux again if the flux in a first place wasn't burned out? 3. Can you PM me on Discord with your Bday, please? :) I'll buy you some board holder ;). It's a pain to my eyes to see this board up and down and left to right all the time :D. Hope you don't mind my questions :). And, bridging those caps on the side of M92 chip is easy done :) here as well :). So, yes 10 x easier is to use a wick. I use the same technique :).

On point 1) i am with you , that sort of chip you need to get aligned as close to perfect as possible , hold down and then bring in the hot air

Hey Joey, do you (or anyone else) have any tips for getting solder to stick to a via? I am trying to repair a resistor (on a Switch OLED, so very tiny components) whose solder pads came off. On one side there is a big trace that I was succesfully able to solder on, but on the other side I only have a via hole left and even after scratching it (I can see shiny copper) the solder just does not want to stick to it. I'm using an abundance of flux to still no luck so far :/

Muhaha when I think it's going to be a fix than I put it all together too so that doesn't sound silly to me xD When it doesn't work it sucks more though and I put it away for a week or longer usually. When you think it's going to work but than it doesn't is way worse than when you already think it's a long shot. But when it works when you think it isn't its the best feeling.

Joey, I was wondering, what flux do you use? Also, I always assumed the gloves were heat proof so you don't burn yourself once you've heated up a board. I always glove up with this sort of thing for the same reasons, you never know what dirt you're going to get on your hands.
