Hey Joey! I just wanted to say your explanations on KZbin are absolutely top-notch. Not sure if you've considered this, but one thing I struggle with is setting up 4-player gameplay by connecting a retro handheld to a TV or monitor. I always run into issues with controllers and other settings. I’d love to see a complete, in-depth guide on how to on these devices. It would be a game-changer!
@ninjason5714 күн бұрын
I wish these would be at a store somewhere you can walk in and test out. You can get a decent TV for $500. So it makes sense for a personal TV to be around that price.

I purchased the Rayneo Air2S glasses earlier this year based on your review and learned to love them playing on handhelds. However some screens were a little blurry on edge and i always wanted to make screen adjustments but couldn't. I also wear contacts but couldn't really use the glasses when i went in bed. So, these new glasses are very appealing to me. I want to still the Air2S now and will scrub eBay to see what i can get

so on some ds & 3ds emulators, I've seen you can set the 2nd non-touch screen to a separate output, so is it possible to use the screen + touchscreen on the retro device (maybe a rp or something) and then have the top screen anchored above it? edit instead of just mirrored. which is what it currently does. like I've got a rg556. (it has usb-c video out, but unpowered, so I use an adapter) can I use the device screen as the lower touchscreen, and then output a 2nd screen to the usb-c that's the top static screen.

Joey. Great video. I'm interested. But what about all the tech details? What do YOU think about gameplay on them? Battery Life? Working on a Steam Deck, Ally, LeGo? Sounds like it might be great for an Ally X with it's two USB ports, but a no-go with an Ally with its one USB and bad battery life? How long before you get tired of wearing them? VRR? Just want your perspective as a gamer.
@JoeysRetroHandhelds14 күн бұрын
Hey! Game play on AR glasses is fantastic, it's an awesome addition. They're powered by the device, and I wouldn't say it's a massive battery drain either. I don't have a LeGo or Deck anymore, but other glasses have worked on those, these should too. Out of all AR glasses, these are the one's I've been able to wear the longest without fatigue or discomfort, you can go a whole battery charge easily.

Thanks for the video. Will definitely put them on my "maybe" list because I do travel every now and then and the hotel TVs usually suck. 1080p / tiny / not able to access ports. What about the "screen" resolution and refresh rate? How crisp does content look if you opt to get virtually closer to the image? Also, how well does it connect to devices that only support HDMI output like a PS5? Is there an adapter? Are there extension cables if you want to get further away from the connected device?
@JoeysRetroHandhelds14 күн бұрын
Honestly, the screen and refresh rate have been great - they label it as 120hz. I haven't noticed any non-crisp issues. Great question on the PS5 - I believe you need an HDMI to USB-C cable, not an adapter. You can use any USB-C to C cable to get further away if you need to.

It sucks that you didn't mention the field of view (at least I don't think you did?). I purchased the XReal Air 2 last year to be severely disappointed with the field of view.
