Just had this happen to me. Another homeless person started using me for food and money. He needed 5 bucks for gas or something and he said he'd pay me back. Well, it comes around to when he should've paid me back... NOTHING.. mind you this guy panhandles all day and made like 900 dollars but he's so greedy and selfish he uses other homeless people..

I don't understand why people don't leave the big cities where things are expensive, I left Los Angeles a few years ago and moved to Colorado springs and it's much better and there's actually affordable places and the crime is low. People have money for drugs and alcohol and cigarettes but if they saved up money jump on a bus, I got a bus ticket for $115 and stayed homeless in Colorado for a couple weeks and got a job pretty fast.

@@NateHovious it's pretty easy, Colorado springs has a low population and there's things getting built left and right, jobs are everywhere, I work two jobs by choice but one job is enough here, the rent went up but it's not too bad, I pay $900 a month for a decent 2 bedroom apartment that's pretty nice and safe and has a gym and pool. Mountain views. Denver is expensive but 60 miles south where I'm at is lovely. Best choice I've ever made for myself. Colorado springs is a military town and pretty chill.

For the most part the homeless don’t bother me but it is frustrating after working a 10 hour shift, a 6 hour shift right before that and not being able to sit down on the train because every section is taken over by homeless people sleeping. People working 16 hour days shouldn’t have to stand on the train when homeless people are laying down taking up multiple seats.

Surprise that you lasted til 10'th cigarette. I had a rule, when i was smoking, 3 at the most and after the second one i would warn them ,,Hey Michal, you can ask once again but after that, you got to buy your own'' What a way to make enemies tho...
@lindatravers1908
@lindatravers1908 3 ай бұрын
It's gotten worse these days, even strangers on the street aren't happy with scabing a cigarette for free and leaving it at that, some even expect you to roll it for them, keeping both your hands occupied so leaving yourself exposed to them if they wanted to make a move, or they have to aggressively pursue another pinch of tobacco on top, then some papers, then some filters, then one for his girlfriend, and then, and then...cigarettes, even rollies are a lot more expensive than they used to be when a culture existed of being a pretty mean person if you didn't at least give someone that's down a smoke, but I've been down and always managed to have them so if I can do that so can they and they can't even be reasonable about it, always just taking, never returning, you go short so they don't have to on something else, so the culture of freely handing out smokes to whoever, for me at least, is gone.

In my experience the worst ones were the liars. There were some who were absolute train wrecks mentally and I did my absolute best to help them. Like Daniel. I bought him an entire sea bag of warm clothes since sea bags can hold so much and are easy to transport. But some were just liars and said they needed help but really just wanted people to pay for them to hang out with friends and drink every night. Those are the ones who made me never want to help anyone ever again. They ruined my desire to help.

It's not nice to find yourself in a situation where the people you live with and/or rely on to live in a place known you need the place and are in a precarious situation, as even decent people will keep applying the authority they feel it gives them to such an extent that soon enough they expect you to give up your right to say no and put up with a tonne of rubbish and unreasonable demands, it's a bad situation that could ever end well, i don't want to be bound to any of that crap, make a decision, stick to it, make your move and get going.

True, it's one of the common accuracies that someone should be aware of, if you ever happen to find yourself on the streets or a homeless hostel, whatever, it's best not to except anything off a stranger that is a member of the community, be it tobacco, drink, a sandwich, a cigarette, whatever, they may give you one but they'll want ten back, much better to rely on yourself and go without then accepting the crappy bondage with them they offer.

I know the feeling. I'm getting tired of it although technically I'm not homeless anymore. My problem is that I don't want to have a bunch of bills tying me to one place.

They take and take until there is nothing left to take...Crack heads are the worst...Atleast with heroin addicts you knew that there would come a day when you might need someone to help you get straight so we would help each other...BUt Crack heads are only out for the next hit and it only takes about 30 min before they will turn from your friend to your worst nightmare. I was just like you...I always tried to stay alone because you cant trust most people on the street. I am so glad I don't live that life any more

The samething with immigrants is happening in Europe for many years now. Has caused so many problems. I live in holland and immigrants are treating better by the goverment then the dutch people itself. It's a political revenue model.

The worst kinda person .This person laughs at the less fortunate ,the rich person who does not give back to the less fortunate .The medical personnel that laugh at the sick and tell them there crazy bc they can't afford to pay .Drs prescribing medicine knowing it's not going to work and probably hurt that person . Homeless people are angels compared to what these so called good people do to society .

When you say the government I think you're mixing it up with shareholders. Which is fine because at this point they are so intertwined its hard to tell the difference. They follow the market its why they don't care about immigrants coming in. Everyone who does not have market skills are worthless regardless of nationality because the market is global now. And all the politicians and their donors are invested in military healthcare and other shares. It's why we always build weapons and healthcare is so expensive. Many people's retirement is also tied into shares. CEO's want the shares to be as high as possible without caring about war and death because they get their orders from share value a spreadsheet basically, or they get fired. This is that feeling of pushing past a limit you were talking about because its not technically a person giving the orders. The system works for the global market there are no nations so to say. It's why you are seeing both left and right-wing politicians saying America first because many without money are sick of governments acting in the interest of shareholders.

See I would of wanted to let the girl sleep in there with me but then what if she is crazy and tries saying you forced yourself on her when you are just trying to relax. Stuff like that ruins helping people.

Yep exactly what I was thinking. Too much personal risk to help people. It’s best to just keep to yourself and just not help people or get involved in their issues.

Even if they are grateful and helpful, you shouldn't trust anyone except God. I'm so sick of these people telling people to trust man. I learned the hard way, and I'm grateful now to NEVER trust no sinful person.

I’m not sure about your opinion on this. It’s perspective. My first instinct is to agree and say yea I hate those type of people; but then I can recall situations where to the other party I’ve been “that guy”. I think we never truly know how we are coming off to someone.
