John 5 is a rocker, but he will tell you his roots and influences go back to when he was young, and from watching Hee Haw. He is one hell of a country picker as well. He can play any style. If you are not strictly a metal head, check out his chicken picken clips as well. So versatile!!!

John 5 is so great. I thought the era of the new guitar hero was over but apparently not. That white head-stock and finger-board is very cool, too. I think Motley were pretty lucky to get this guy. He was a star in his own right, without them.

You should catch him as a “solo” act. I’ve seen him twice and got a pick both times and even him taking my phone to record while he was playing. I saw him before the show and got a photo and we both got covid from the Sacramento show. 😂
