One of the most underrated fanstasy novels. It deserves a movie.

Thank you so much. I used to listen to this over and over again on cassette as a kid - haven't heard it for 15+ years - although I now own the book. This is one of my favourite stories of all time, as well as my being favourite audiobook. I am giddy that I get to listen to it again at last!

Yes, many thanks to the uploader. I was stoked to find John Bellairs books on youtube, I didn't have much hope when I searched.

Good to know that there are others that have enjoyed this book as much as I. It inspired me as a preteen to follow the path of sorcery and the occult.

This is a wonderful story. Although that doesn't do it justice by any means. I have never heard anything about it before, just stumbled across it. I love it!!! Apart from being a terrific story, it is brilliantly read. Altogether I couldn't recommend it more highly. Thank you very much for uploading this audio book. More appreciated than I can say.

I appreciate the upload. I first read this nearly 40 years ago and I still have my copy around somewhere. I had forgotten what an enjoyable story it is.

Thanks for uploading this! I listened to this all the time in high school. I tried to read it aloud to my family, but they didn't like it very much. George Guidall is the only person with a voice who can properly do it justice. EDIT: And I see there's other bellairs audiobooks here too! Thank you! My library only had this one, The Ghost in the Mirror (read by the same guy - I have a digitized copy of it, maybe I'll upload it, or send it to you if you'd like to), and the House with the Clock in its Walls (on CD this time, and also read by Mr. Guidall, though I didn't like the performance as much as the former two).

Any other Bellairs audiobooks you can upload would be great. Particularly House with a Clock in its Walls! (Or at least if you'd be so kind as to email me on that one I'd really appreciate it). It's a classic I must have read 10 times in the early 1990s but sadly I could never find the audio. Right now only this, and the Dark Secret of Weatherend are here; out of something like 30 books. At least if you're counting the Bellairs/Strickland novels too

The ones John Bellairs wrote were called "The Figure in the Shadows" and "The Letter, The Witch, and The Ring." Brad Strickland later wrote some other books with those characters.

@@sorcharocks The Ghost in the Mirror was a return to Lewis and Rose Rita, that was mostly finished by John before his death. Brad completed it, as his first book finishing John's legacy.

Do you know if there's anywhere I can buy a copy of this? Recorded Books doesn't even list it on their website anymore, and nobody's selling it used on Amazon.

Does anyone have the RecordedBooks - George Guidall version of "House With A Clock In It's Walls" audiobook? I know there's one or two readings of "House..." on here on YT from random amateurs (no offense to them, but they're not Guidall) but finding the 'real' version seems near impossible from any source. I've been searching for weeks online and local libraries. Even RecordedBooks themselves don't make it available to individuals anymore, only institutions.

N. Reid True, I am not Guidall. I would check Audible: since the movie came out, they either re-released it or did a new recording.
