Saw JBT at the Metro (while ago now) with this original band playing all these songs. They were so tight, John is awesome as are the bass and drummer. John would come out first and play like 4 songs each about 8-10 min then the other 2 guys came on and each song was from 8-15 min long. They were on fire that night like in this video. Never forget it. Metro's got a wooden floor that had a bit of bounce and JBT had the crowd in the palm of their hands. The faster they played the faster everyone and I mean everyone was bouncing up and down, then they would slow it down and the crowd slowed down then they would slowly speed it up again and the whole crowd would speed up. This went on for the whole night. One of the best shows I ever been to and it was like 20 bucks. Then these guys broke up and JBT was never the same, sorta mellowed out a bit too much. Still, thank you for the great show JBT. Never forget it. Couldn't sleep for 2 days I was so pumped. Peace out.

Seeing this live, the amount of stamina and passion these people have playing this, its awe inspiring and it is capturing.

You mean captivating. It damn well is! My right fingers are paralysed so I cannot play the guitar the way John does. Respect!

Moi aussi. Mes doigts du main droit sont paralysés, alors je ne peux pas jouer de la guitare comme John le fait.

John is usually relaxed and would take 40 minutes to do 4 songs. He was on fire that night. Watching that, I honestly thought the veins in his forehead would explode.

+Auguste Podeur hey! That's not me, but I'll take it as a compliment :) it's Gavin Shoesmith, JBT's original bass player (extraordinaire)!

Rory, do you happen to know the instrument Gavin was playing on that performance? I dig that sound!

Training and focus. Just as I'm 37, autistic and can talk spontaneously at last. I can think as fast I speak.
