The Wild Summer Nights bar scene filmed at Tony Marts in Somers Point NJ. The place was torn down shortly after filming but for nearly 40 years it was one of the hottest spots at the south Jersey shore. My dad spent many nights there in the early 60s. One of the best rock songs EVER! John and the gang should get a hell of a lot more respect. The rhythm guitar rocks, the bass is thumping harder than a trip hammer, and the sax is scorching. Everything to love and nothing disappoints in this song. Thank you guys for writing and performing this. A side note, I prefer the version of the video with the real band and not the film version. I always did get a hoot watching John do that one legged hop thing and you can see the band is having a good time.

I'm sorry but Michael Pare (Eddie & the Cruisers) will forever live in my hardwired nostalgia for this song & 'Tender Years'. How Michael's talking voice & mannerisms in the movie made it so convincing that he sung this cannot be rewired in my brain to depict that of John lol.

I close my eyes and can see Eddie and the Cruisers, not John and the brown beavers. 🤣 I'm back to listen again. John and the Brown Beavers are great! But I swear I can see Joanne dancing on the side with a tambourine. [July 2023] Back again. Loving the song! (July 2024) Back again still lovin' the brown beavers while mentally picturing Eddie and the Cruisers.

I`m from Rhode Island and have seen John and the Beaver Brown band many time. They should have been way bigger than they were/are. They play every song like their life depends on it. I love Springsteen but John and the band are not just copy cat aslo rans. Even now in 2020 they`re still playing.

I really wish they would put the 2 movies of Eddie and the Cruisers on TV. So the younger kids get to really see true rock and roll. I’m old and loved Eddies Lyrics. And would love the chance to see both back to back.🙏🏼
