Several years ago, I watched a self narrated autobiography of this guy on Netflix. He totally glamorized his life as having come from money, grown-up in elite prep schools, and having always loves surrounding himself with beautiful women. The way he painted himself was as the man, who adored gorgeous women and just love to be around them. He even talked about how he lost his virginity to a woman on a beach during one summer as a teenager. I thought it was so gross and misogynistic. I was also shocked at how Netflix celebrated this, how he was looked at some sort of charming businessman. I knew there had to be more to this story than what was portrayed. It shows that the glamorous lifestyle isn’t glamorous at all. Who would want to live that way and work with someone like that.

Yeah, why should any man have any success with women at all? Women should just run everything and men should just be worker drones and insects for them, so women could have no interest in them anyway, because we all know women love the alphas. Ridiculous post. How dare anyone lose their virginity on a beach like our ancestors did for millions of years when fish came onto land! Did you really write that?

Makes sense now why trump knew epst@in. Epst@in was also associated with Heidi klum 1st child father flavio briatore who i think had a model agency that same billionaire was also in a relationship with naomi Campbell too at one point. These model agencies be key points in traffic@ing i see

It's a sad shame that an industry of beauty and fashion can be insidiously ugly. I'd like to believe he already has been 'recycled' back into this world and suffering bad karma.

I am one of those girls that was chosen to be a model for John Casablanca.. my mom had to pay 1700 at the time for my schooling and u have to be selected In order to move forward.. I did runway. I modeled for febreze and was told by older men they were only gonna buy cause they thought I was cute remember I was only 17yrs old.. .. I went to some kind of convention where there were thousands of girls there.. I was one of the 250 that was chosen to move forward because of my cheek bones supposedly.. after all the girls left that were turned down.. they told us that we were never allowed to have a family, or a life and boy at 17yrs old I hated the word forever.. I was only 17yrs old and ur telling me I can't have a boyfriend or kids and now I go to Chicago to get an agent.. the camera loved me.. but, I took moody pictures and I was told not to wear makeup when I walked the run. way to get an agent and I did anyways on purpose because I didnt like being told that I would never have a family or a relationship and I was only 17yrs old.. I have always had the dream of being a model and once I got real close I didnt want it anymore.. and now I have 5 kids and had a husband rest in peace 12-23-2023 suicide due to economy.. John Casablanca made me realize that modeling wasnt for me.. and omg I am so glad I saw the light before things got worse.. something didnt seem right when I was there.. 1997

Absolutely jaw dropping account of your brush with the potentially dangerous world of fashion and modeling! Kinda curious whether you've pondered the idea of writing it all down for a potential book? All the best from Canada 🍁

@@walcoman thank u no I didnt but, when I was 17 something felt off for sure but, I just recently realized that my intuition was right when I left and lost the 1700 my mom had fork out.. they literally own u its crazy.. models today are also owned.. look at most of them they are without a relationship, no children.. they are owned by the industry and if u do go against there policies they will get rid of u.. I will never sell myself out for money.. thank u for the idea maybe I will write a book

I could be wrong, but I want to correct you. It was not the 90's, it was somewhere 80's and so far in the making in the late 70's for sure, then leading up to the 90's. Please look up into that. By time the very early 90's came around, it was towards the tails end of this phenomena "super models". I say this because my aunt's (plural) were part of this culture around in the 80's to 90's. Thank you however for this Docu, was always fascinated by this particular subject

not true I was 17 in 1997 and was a model for them so I know it went much later then that.. I walked away when they told me I couldn't ever have a relationship or a family of my own.. im like what? im only 17 I dont know what I want later in life and I hate the word forever.. so I assure u it went on longer then u think..

Casablancas was instrumental in the founding and creation of the original "Big Five" supermodels (as coined on the Jan 1990 cover of British Vogue 1:57) in the 80s, but the "supermodel era" did not peak until the 90s following that cover and the models on being featured in George Michael's "Freedom! '90" music video. Obviously he had been active in the industry in prior decades, but the primary era spoken of in this video was most definitely the 90s.

Wat people don't understand is that as a Model (of that generation) you had to be able to live in a zone of blurred lines. Prostitution has many facets: You can be a supermodel and work as a prostitute You can be forced or manipulated into it You can do it to pay for whatever you want (education/Property etc.) and leave the business You can be a prostitute and sleep with just one president/Man! If you can't handle yourself in a zone of blurred lines , you shouldn't go into those situations. Be it film, fashion, Hollywood, music or any other business!
