True that 60s 70s 80s country was good and different from 2000s but not all today's country music is crap , there is alot of still great stuff, you shouldn't be so closed minded

@Matt Beeman 100% correct, that is why singers like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry should thank their lucky stars some producer felt he could make money with them. Sure they can sing and write good songs but so can thousands of other good looking women it is the backing that always makes the star....for example Sam Phillips sticking with Luther Perkins guitar sound making Johnny Cash.

Tango Bango um, he just turned 72 on August the 11th. .....just seen him August the 3rd n his birthday came up. MY one n only son's birthday is the day before his. :)

It's true that John Conlee is one of most underrated country music artists. But 7 #1 hits and 14 other songs into the Top Ten are testimony to a super talent. Love you, COMMON MAN. Best wishes from faraway Bombay.

I sure miss listening to this man. Rose Colored Glasses was such an inspiration to me in the 80’s. (I still sing it to this day on stage) I hope this man realizes how his talent touched a LOT of lives ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Favorite country song ever of mine!! Im from a small hillbilly, hick town in Ohio, grew up on a farm and John Conlee is what my 2 brothers and i listened to!! True man to his roots!! Love it!!Love you John Conlee!!

I grew up on a farm in Alberta. I listened to John on the radio and often had his cassette in driving down gravel roads. His voice is exceptional and so are his lyrics!

Saw John in concert last year in a 400 seat theater. I have seen a lot of arena shows by bigger stars but that is the most enjoyable one for me.

What a great singer and great man!!! You can feel a message in the song that rings in the heart and soul. It's the simple things and "common" things such as family and our homes where we should find joy. I remember first listening to Conlee in a record store in downtown Chicago in 1981 - "Miss Emily's Picture". He sounded like he was old and seen it all even then - and he was only 35! Good memories.

Considering that I was introduced to Conlee in the 80s by my dad, and appreciate him so much, I can't even begin to imagine why any of those in the video would be stuffing their faces while he sings. Seriously, re-watch the video. I would be fixated on John and appreciating him while he's still with us.
