the greatest thing about this is he said in his documentary that he temporarily gave up alcohol and cigarettes just to do well at The Open. He instead gorged on chocolate instead, eating chocolate muffins, chocolate cake, drinking chocolate milk lol. Tiger is a great athlete, but no way he would be able to win if he ate and drank the chocolate meal plan like John did lol

Ewan MacFarlane ... Who gives a fuck? He rolled in that massive putt on the second playoff hole, huh? A lot of the reason he isn’t considered ‘one of the best8 is bc of opinions of uptight cunts. This clip started with Daly coming out of a bunker EXTREMELY close to the face. Rocca takes 3 to get out with a much better lie. Commentator 1: Well, Rocca pretty much threw away the playoff there, didn’t he? Commentator 2: Yeah, but his clothes are more stylish, aren’t they?

When you peg it up in pro tournament's you have somebody collecting data & they would ask what ball you're playing. I remember reading that Daly stunned the guy asking at that Open when he said a Wilson Ultra (2 piece rock of bygone era). Yet he struck the ball so well he could still spin it sufficiently to get it to grab enough. Everyone else was using Titleist balatas, which was, frankly, pointless on a links

What will be totally different at Carnoustie for the 2018 Open Championship? It will be without the lyrical splendor, divine deviancy, evil genius, and mind-to-mouth without guard word murals of Sir Peter Alliss. A real rascal's rascal. Living legend. Watch his acceptance speech during his induction to The World Golf Hall of Fame. It's short, hilarious and will make any day better. He was once an excellent commentator, but let's be frank - he has been past his sell-by date for a good ten years now. He started going downhill with his "It'- not-over-yet" comment after Mickelson had just holed the winning putt at Augusta in '04. That lack of awareness was just inexcusable. He also, from the early-90s, started getting very critical of the players in a way he never previously had. I started watching golf in the mid-80s, so I grew up up with him - and I agree he was very good back then. But to call him a "living legend"? No, that's just absurd hyperbole.

@@MrAJR76 As someone who has played a round at dusk in shorts, barefoot with John Daly, shot many an afternoon practice baskets with Magic Johnson, enjoyed some of my most brutally honest late-night confessions with Evel Knievel, played tennis with Bjorn Borg, had lunch with Mario Andretti, dated Tatum O'Neal, and Ann-Margaret made me try her homemade chocolate chip cookies at about 1:30am once. But what would I know about living legends... Perhaps I should consult the special individuals with whom my life has personally, privately crossed such as Nancy Lopez, Jim Brown, Jim Nantz, Joe Namath, Nolan Ryan, Jack Nicklaus, Ken Venturi, Marcus Allen, Dick Enberg, Jim Murray, Dr. Jerry Buss, Willie Mays, Refer Johnson, and John Wooden. A couple of these are posthumous of course, but this is how much I was influenced by them. I will consult a few of the others to get straight on this "living legend" thing. Thank you for your keen observation.
