Great video seeing that 31HP Yanmar pumping snow out of your 60" blower! We haven't had any snow in our neck of the woods yet so I'm a bit jealous of you having all the fun with your machines in the snow.

As always buddy thank you for the video,,,and it was nice to see Mrs Beef make a cameo appearance in the video..

She made a cameo and gave her blessing for it to be put up on KZbin! That is the shocking part.

That blower does move some snow. Chewed through those drifts really well. It was cool to see it pile the snow in the area you cleared, gives some reference of the throw pattern and how much it’s really moving. Makes me want a cab for my x595 watching, especially when you are blowing straight ahead and driving into the snow fog you create.

Honestly I'm shocked at how much snow the 1445 can move. I figured a 60 inch blower would be pushing the 31 HP Yanmar pretty hard.... But it seems to not mind it. I would love to find another cab for my X748... I had a mint soft side cab a few years ago... Before we moved.... And stupidly sold it.

@@mmrbeef - I knew you would regret selling that cab some day!

The thumbnail is about as cool a picture that you'll find anywhere. Those are some hellacious drifts for an inch of snow haha.
@mmrbeef5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, they are big drifts... most of the drifting was caused by the fresh snow from the blizzard two days before.

When you go get a 3point blower for the 4066r I would strongly recommend a Buhler Farm King snowblower we have one on the back of a 5105 r and love it it eats snow so fast and throws a long way it's a first blower we've had on that tractor that will actually lug it down all the rest of them just don't move enough snow to make it work without a lot running over the sides and top

At 10:12 I bet you you were really wishing you had a 3point blower for the 4066r Looks like fun though I envy in you

Give the wife a thumbs up for her shoveling effort!!....Just an observation, but if it were me I'd get rid of that picket fence or at the least reconstruct it so it can be taken down for the winter months LOL
@mmrbeef5 жыл бұрын
She certainly doesn't mind shoveling. I'll paraphrase her recent comment... "You move the snow with machines, yes we need a blower for the 4066R... I'll do all the shoveling" haha The fence doesn't present too many issues aside from just being there. The drift is caused by the snow going around the house. The fence protects the front gardens and they have a concrete curb all the way around them. What we really need is for all the evergreens we have planted to grow faster!!!

It wasn't too bad to be honest. I think the mid-teens or low 20's that day.

Where is this, it's beyond beautiful, a temporary snow fence would help the drifting wouldn't it, along the shore here in NJ they erect temporary wooden slat fences on the beach to help stop the sand from blowing around I assume it's the same principle.

Upper mid-west (MN, SD, IA) region. Yes, a snow fence wild normally work... Except this year... Any fence I would have built would have been too small!

Skippy sent me to your channel. I'm thinking about buying a JD 1145, theres one local, 3100 hours, blower and mower deck, but no cab. It looks ok, guys owned it 10+ years, says it works great, asking $5200. Any thots? I'm up near Montreal, but I'll travel for a nice machine. Thx Andrew

I've never owned an F1145.... I've looked at a couple just never pulled the trigger on buying. They are nice machines. With that many hours I'd make sure to check the deck out well (bearings, caster wheel bearings, caster wheel post bushings, gear box play etc). Make sure the blower and 4wd work and give the machine a general good going over. I'm not much help on price since I know things up North of the border are a little more expensive. Hope those thoughts help some.

I was watching your video and I saw you got two propane tanks maybe build a shed over the propane tank so no snow or ice slide off the roof hit propane lines cause to break thinking of safety
@mmrbeef5 жыл бұрын
The snow and ice does slide off the roof and onto the tanks. The LP guy and I discussed it when we put the tanks there. Out conclusion was that due to the steepness of the roof, the amount of snow and ice built up is minimal. Which so far, has been true. Additionally when it does slide off it shoots over the tanks and onto my nice clean driveway.... figures.....

Haha! Yes, I was rather miffed when I realized exactly how much snow we had to move.... Funny part is they didn't even forecast the inch... Just a lot of wind.

Is that a 2wd or 4wd?

This 1445 is 4wd. There are also 2wd units out there.

With that 1445 and blower why have a tractor with a push & pull blade just dumb and a wast of money
@mmrbeef5 жыл бұрын
Trust me that 4066R is not a waste of money.... because even the 1445 can handle some of the snow we get. Not that we get a lot of snow but it drifts.... and those drifts have to be moves elsewhere. There is a reason all of my neighbors (farm or not) have some type of CUT or skid steer. Our direct neighbors have a 4720, down the road they have a ~40 Kubota, to the South there is another Kubota, and then the farms have multiple large tractors.
