Nice setup seems to work pretty good. That reverse problem you're having is very common. I took care of mine by popping out the reverse switch back at the transmission. Just follow the rod back, you can't miss it because it's got wires on it. It's located right next to the drive belt pulley retainer Bolt. I just popped it out and put it someplace high then attached it with a couple of tie wraps. No more having to worry about that stupid button and messing up your electronic system. The machine never knows you're pushing that reverse pedal now. Works awesome for trimming around trees when you're cutting the grass in the summer. Good luck

My PTO spring broke and cant see where it attaches. There is no slot for the spring end to go into. I saw you put yours around the pulley bolt. Is that where mine needs to go?

maybe you can tell me if u have any issue with the manual lift for the blower, mine seems so difficult to use, im small and try to use weight to push down arm to lift blower , there seems to be a lever that u have to press and release , not sure if i need to stop auger first???

My unit is the same. There is no trick to it. You just need to put your muscle into it. I repositioned the brake like handle that allows you to lift it so that its under the handle bar. Mine was on top and i found it hard to push the bar down and push down on the lever. Flipping it around makes it so much easier to use and there is no tension on that cable after pushing down on the handle bar. I hope this makes sense to you.

Hey I know this was posted a while ago I just did the same thing and got what looks to be the same blower for my L110 but I’m missing the front bracket that attaches the mower to the blower. It’s the only part you didn’t show in the video haha any chance you could send a picture of it or if you have a part number by any chance so I can get one? Thanks!

@TheUpstateIdiots Asking with a hope and a prayer. Any chance you got that craftsman blower working on your JD mower? I'm looking at doing the same except my blower came without any of the under vehicle bracketry. So I'm currently piecemeal ordering all that from sears...

@@Monroe18999 yes actually I did make it work. I used the existing push plates and notched them for the front axle. I had to reverse what side the push plates went to and use spacers to get it away from the frame slightly. I did have to unhook my PTO cable and reroute it to work with the snowblower pto setup that bolted to the bottom and yes it was a bit of a pain spacing it with washers. I had the original belt for the pro to blower so I tensioned that up before mounting the PTO. so I only had to buy one belt for the tractor to pto. It served me great all last winter. Only issue I ever had was the belt tensioner wasn't tight enough so I cut it to allow more throw for a tighter belt and the blower belt only popped off a couple times. minimal issue given the circumstances. I also added an original ballast box from a craftsman as well I do recommend decent weight and chains. Hope this helps you.

@@Theupstateidiots oh wow! I can't believe you replied! Haha I thought there was no way seeing as it was so long ago. That helps a lot! I'm in the same boat - I have the blower with its auger drive belt, but nothing else. I'm also going to need to substitute some parts on the idler/clutch assy because craftsman doesn't make them anymore! The trickest being the idler bracket. Hopefully I'm able to look at where the belt needs to go and made something with my cut off wheel and drill press out of some Home Depot special plate stock lol I'm glad to hear that it works and does very well. @@Monroe18999 I am not sure if you have thought of it or not but I have pondered the idea of putting a 10hp engine mounted to the blower itself and then just making a bracket setup to hook to whatever, then you don't have to worry about pto and all that nonsense. Just snowballing some ideas since you're missing some parts. I was fortunate enough my friends saved every piece to what i got. Either way it's not too big of a deal and a little bit of cutting and welding, you can make anything work. (just make sure it's spinning the right direction) haha.

@@Theupstateidiots thats a great idea. I hadn't thought of that! That'll definitely be a future improvement. I plan on building myself quite the shop so once my shop has a welder, ill definitely look at doing that. I love that about these things, that all it takes is some cutting and welding. Doesnt have to be pretty to work haha
