Found you from the cluttered garage livestream, I am outside boston. I have a bx25D with the same tiller. I love the tiller and it gets it use each spring Good Luck

Hi Oliver, welcome to the channel. I agree the tiller works great. I also tilled up a bunch of dead grass that was killed by grubs last spring and it worked like a charm. Boston is just 2 hours away from us here in southern Maine. No snow yet but I suspect it won't be long. John

I love the tiller. Bought through Blaine’s farm fleet. I just ordered a loader for the tractor and I was surprised that the price didn’t go up from when I priced it a few years ago. Thanks for watching!

Those tillers work great. The one I have has reverse rotating tines, it breaks up the soil really well. I've only used mine a couple times so far, but just got my tractor the end of July last summer so still lots of projects to get done, so it'll get used a lot this coming year.
@BackyardMaine2 жыл бұрын
That's sound awesome William. I didn't know they made one like that. So the dirt get thrown forward? The tiller is a perfect fit for my tractor and is holding up well although I only use it a few times a year. It was a lot cheaper than the green one.. I have some snow blowing videos as well. Thanks for watching. (John)
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@BackyardMaine Its a Land Pride RTR0550. Yes, it throws the majority of the dirt forward. It works very well, and it seems to hold the tractor bad a bit too as you are going forward. I know if I try tilling with it in 2WD I just sit there spinning tires LOL. I'll check out the snow blowing videos as well, thanks. I don't have the snow blower for my tractor, I have one on my lawn tractor which I find that I'm hating more and more each time I have to hook the thing up. Rather than a quick front hitch you have the push tubes that have to hookup under the belly of the lawn tractor, its not fun trying to get stuff lined up its quite a heavy blower to try and shove around to line stuff up to install the push tube pins.

@@wildbill23c The front mount on my 1025R seems to work pretty well. Thanks again for watching.
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@BackyardMaine Seems pretty similar to the front mount hitch on the Kubota BX and B series tractors as well. Much easier installation with those front mounts than the push tube setup for lawn tractors and ATV's.

😊 one step your ready to plant The bar above tractor seat, is that required, can you buy it without the bar? Thanks 😊
@BackyardMaine6 ай бұрын
Yes the roll bars are required. Mine is folding and I leave it down for most of my tractor work. The tractor won't fit under the garage door with it open. If I'm on unstable or sloped ground or doing heavy work I will put it up..

@BackyardMaine, just curious, why do you till in the fall at the end of the season?
@BackyardMaineАй бұрын
I like to till in all the left over growth in the fall. Then before winter I have a pretty think layer of cover growth that just grows naturally. Certainly not necessary though and some may say I'm putting more stress on the soil. They may be right but this has been working well for me for quite a while.

@@BackyardMaine Thank you for the response. I live in Georgia and putting in clover is very common here to overwinter a garden (if you aren't growing anything). Plus it has benefits. The snow in October mention is what was throwing me. I didn't know if you could get a cover established in that period of time.

I have a John Deere 2025R tractor. Questions: for your 3-point hitch, what modifications did you have to make to connect every thing? How about the PTO shaft, did you have buy anything else to make it work? Thanks for your help.
@BackyardMaine2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t made any alterations to the 3-point hitch at all. I don’t have a quick hitch so I connect everything manually. I did have to cut the PTO shaft that came with the tiller but they give you instructions for that. I hope this helps.
