Very good video, I would go crazy trying to do this stuff so I call my brother-in-law who is so good at fixing things and happily pay him for his time and skills. I enjoy watching videos like this because one day I just might surprise myself and try it.

Use the flapper disc if you sharpen them often they do a great job couple quick swipes and they are sharp. Also maybe try a grease gun with a needle end and stick it into the plastic deck wheels to lube them up if there is a big enough gap! Cheers I just bought a x320

Have a look there should be grease zerks right on the back side of the wheel also they are kind of hid and there should be one right in the middle of the front axle where it pivots at the frame! Cheers

Those scalper wheels are not supposed to be touching the ground all the time. They should only touch when the mower might scalp on uneven ground.

The way those decks are designed, they accumulate grass, twigs and dirt very quickly. About the only thing a guy can do is blow out or wash the deck after each use. I have a S240 that does the same thing and my neighbor has a 320. He has bent the deck on his $$$$$ and it leaves an annoying strip when mowing. I had to take off the deck a couple years ago to replace the belt, KZbin videos made it easy.

You need to buy a wire brush for your grinder and clean the deck then spray the underside with tremclad paint Unless you like buying new mower decks ?

Have you still got this mower? I'm lookin at an older one that my local dealer has that was a trade in. It's got about a 1k hours on it. It seems to run fine and it seems to of been maintained well, aside from someone gettin a little to happy with the john deere green touch up spray paint. They didn't tape around any of the plastic when they were doin it and it looks like a child did it.

Why is the engine belt a cogged belt?? The pulleys are V shaped not teeth. 🤔🤔 I'm puzzled.

My X300 48" is very similar to your X320 that I watched you sharpen blades on. It looks like all the deflectors on the underside of your deck have been removed. One of my deflectors, right rear, has been bent so badly on one end that it is cutting a groove in the turf. Can I just remove it and forget it? Looks like it is being held on by just one bolt. I do use the power flow attachment for bagging.

I am just not sure, I had no Idea I had deflectors. I bought this used and that is how I got it. Sorry

@@JustADad I got the deck off, with the help of your video. I think now it will be easy to remove the deflector and bend it back into shape, or replace it if necessary.
