John co-wrote this song with Phil Buckle and Ross Fraser. Interesting fact...There was a clip on youtube with Davy Jones from the Monkees covering this song in a live performance. I was shocked that he was singing this little known song of John's. I had a big smile on my face.

Hey Jojo, I have never seen that. I will find it, though. Cheers Debb ❤🎉

@AussieDebb Hi Debb. It just came up when I was scrolling for John reactions and clips. He's no John, but I enjoyed watching him sing it. As a kid I always preferred the Monkees over the Beatles, and when Davy appeared on the Brady Bunch... well, let's just say it was my favourite episode ever...haha!

We used to have a saying, when all else fails get a bigger hammer, or when all else fails read the instructions. My sister's hubby said, the destructions.

I think John was probably thinking of his wife Jill when he was singing this song. So glad you used Docs remastered version. So good!

I'm sure his wife would have been the inspiration for this song

Hi guys Yes the Ikettes were Ike & Tina Turners back up singers. Thank you for another great reaction. Fellipe was so right - quiet power and reflection. John turns his voice to suit the lyric perfectly every time. 💖💞
