democracynow.org - The report on President Trump urging FBI Director James Comey to end the agency’s investigation into Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, came just a day after The Washington Post revealed President Trump had disclosed highly classified intelligence to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at the White House. We talk to CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou about his own case and the significance of Trump divulging classified secrets to Russia.

John is a great American. What they did to him was contemptible. There is a great documentary on what happened to him, and two other whistleblowers, on Netflix, called "Silenced", that I highly recommend. Cheers.

Can someone please tell me why talking about say the CIA ran torture sites is perfectly OK as long as one doesn't mention Ukraine and the Gestapo/SBU? I'm really trying to wrap my 180 IQ brain around it- and I can't.

There is no constitutional prohibition against stupidity. There is no provision for stupidity either, so there is a remote chance of impeachment.

The frog that seemingly has permanent residence in Amy's throat is so distracting. She's wonderful, of course. But superficial qualities like a smooth speaking voice are taken to be "professionalism" in our media culture. And her constant clearing of her throat and parched-sounding voice diminishes the impact of her reporting/interviewing, even if it's just on an unconscious level. ("Broadcast News" made a similar point.) She should look up how people like Andy Serkis deal with having a diminished voice b/c of vocal strain. It would be worth the effort, I think.
