Okay people, Yoko didn't break up The Beatles. Just one person can't do that, every band runs out of steam, and a band isn't gonna last forever, and for The Beatles, it was there time. Just be thankful that we still have their fantastic music (and films) and if they didn't break up, they wouldn't have made such beautiful songs in their solo careers. They can't be like 80 something and still singing the same songs over and over. I'm not a huge fan of Yoko, but I'm glad she made John happy. RIP x

Yoko played the first chords to the "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven in the studio where the Beatles were rehearsing. Then John said "Play those chords backwards!", and when she did he got the idea to write "Because". It is my favourite song by the Beatles and the most beautiful song I've heard so far. Therefore, I can only be thankful to Yoko, because she helped create a masterpiece, despite all the rotten things that have been said about her.

My Grandpa, an english amatorial film maker living in Margate was once walking Toby (his Dog) on the beach. He still have some Super8 films or kind of cassettes in a box somewhere from the day when he met John and Yoko on the beach filming "something funny"! When he saw the video of this song on TV he realised that on that morning he (in some way) was testimony of the creation of a Masterpiece!

Wow. I've recieved a lot of negative messages (more than 10 replies) about Yoko over the span of 2 months. You see, I'm only 17 and I'm a new Beatles fan, so I wasn't aware of... all this. I don't know who to believe, but I think we just need to look past it all. We can choose to dwindle on what we can't change, and walk in circles, but I'd rather just move on. I agree with you, but i still dislike her, but not for the reasons you have given. I think they were both hypocrites to some degree. How can you talk about Peace and Love all the time and cheat on your wife (Cynthia) and be mentally abusive to your son (Julian)? Yoko was insanely jealous of Cynthia and Julian. After John and Cynthia's divorce, John went to visit Julian, was there only a few minutes when the phone rang. Yoko had someone to call him there claiming Yoko was hysterical and threatening to kill herself and that he needed to get back to her quick, ruining his visit with his son Julian. It was a test by Yoko (not revealed to John) to see if he would put her first over everybody. It would not be the last time she would pull this stunt (in one form or another) with him, always threatening to kill herself. And John always took the bait, "passed" her test, and "failed" himself and his son.

Still don't like her. She encouraged John's heroin addiction. Peter Brown at least describes John's heroin addiction as the single biggest single factor in the break-up. And Julian wouldn't have had the childhood he wanted regardless, John was a huge rock star who barely had time for his son anyway. John even admitted he didn't want to be a father as early as he was anyway, so Julian wasn't very likely to get a whole lot of love from his father early on. Sad, but that's the way it went.
