I love John lithgow. He’s one of the most underrated actors of our time.
@civlyzedАй бұрын
John Lithgow has received numerous accolades including six Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Tony Awards as well as nominations for two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and four Grammy Awards. Lithgow has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2001 and was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2005. "Underrated - adjective /ˌʌn·dərˈreɪt̬·əd/ having more importance, value, skill, power, etc., than people recognize".
@maisonneuveАй бұрын
@@civlyzed I absolutely didn’t mean he is an unrecognized actor. He’s had a storied career and has been recognized by his peers on numerous occasions. I mean that I personally don’t think John Lithgow is as much of a household name as he should be, that in the public sphere of knowledge he perhaps isn’t as revered as some other actors who ultimately aren’t nearly as talented as Lithgow. Being recognized in and by your industry is not the same thing as being a household name like Meryl Streep. I do know what the word underrated means, but thank you so much for that, really put the nail in the coffin of what you interpreted my comment to be about and was really just the right amount of belittling.
