Very insightful. Sometimes I have to catch myself when I discuss double strokes vs single strokes on the kick because I could be an asshole if not understood. I prefer singles because of the power it gives me in my own playing and I value power as a part of my life philosophy. But doubles aren't inferior by any means. Like he said, it's not a competition. Everyone's got an opinion and if I get asked I'll just say straight up which I prefer

It's good advice for drummers but for musicians like Muhammad Suiçmez, Mike Patton, Chuck Schuldiner, Frank Zappa, Yngwie etc etc. the inverse seems to work quite a bit
