Every now and then the right people come together at the right time and create a few moments that are so perfect. I am so lucky to be alive during the time of KZbin. Any time that I'm feeling down, I can click on a special video like this and be instantly transported to a few perfect moments, where all my cares and worries just float away.

About 10 years ago, I was standing on a subway platform in NYC. I was on my way home from an awful day at work. I was late on my rent, my car had been towed, my bank account was overdrawn, and I had just used the last ride on my MetroCard. I was hungry and I knew I didn't have any food at home. I wouldn't be paid for another 2 days. As I stood on this train platform, a homeless man with a guitar sang this song, tears on his face. I gave him the last $3 in my wallet and stood there on that platform and cried with him. This song will always remind me of that moment.

While i don't disagree that they are, in fact, Pop musicians, this is R&B baby! Rhythm and freaking Blues, and they absolutely smashed it! Pop would be more "produced", more danceable, and more of a product ( which isn't a bad thing ), but there's a distinction to be made and i think it's very important to not confuse the two. Just listened to this again, 3 times in a row. What an incredible presentation, the way the sounds, the lyrics, the chords, the emotions it inspires, the way the voices intermingle, the instruments all work around each other, even the drums (I'm a drummer but also play flute, some sax) caress the ears, the feelings, the love that we should all know how privileged we are to experience. I commented 3 years ago and still love this song and hope other listeners can feel and experience, for the live and love we are a part of. I've got shivers .... again. Music is the international language of peace and love, and one of the so many things that are good about the human race on our fragile little planet. OK. Playing it again. That makes 4 times in a row. Enjoy.

True, but you can't deny how shallow the music scene as a whole has become. I don't wanna single anyone out, but we live in a world where Cardi B won a Grammy. There's hundreds of rappers out there with more depth and message behind their lyrics. To me, if someone can't appreciate the magic that happened on this stage between John and Alicia, then you've either never played live music a day in your life, or you don't have an ear for all the subtle nuances in the music before you. The band went seamlessly from her song, to his, back to hers. And the lyrics for the two, sounds like he wrote Gravity in response to her song. It's a full circle mindfuck lol
