I watched this episode with my aunt when it first aired. I'm a fan of John Mulaney, but my aunt had absolutely no idea who he was. My aunt watched this for a bit and said "that kid is a junkie, he's on coke. I know, I spent 12 years in Vegas." I miss you so much aunt Irene 😞

I kinda love that John Mulaney is extrinsically motivated, cuz big same. I can only get things done if there is some pressure or because someone expects something from me. How people can just do things "for themselves" is a giant mystery.

i love that even though what he said wasn’t that bad, he still recognizes what he could’ve done better. We stan celebrities that can take criticism maturely.

This was hilarious. I always enjoy that John's jokes feel satirically revealing but parts are true.

I’m actually really glad he addressed it because I remember being VERY surprised hearing him (creator of the horse in a hospital!) say it three days before the election. We blame the field. 😂

the execessive blinking is a huge sign. hope John gets well soon
@emily-tg8wk4 жыл бұрын
genuine question: why is that? does it have to do with focus or something? my heart hurts for him :(
@baileymarcum4 жыл бұрын
I noticed that myself😞 I’m glad he’s getting the help he needs💛🙏🏻
@nh397914 жыл бұрын
@@emily-tg8wk its a neurological side effect. If u google anything about excessive blinking and drugs, cocaine is always the first drug listed to cause it 😞 im happy hes getting help, hope he recovers quickly

News comes out that he is in rehab, and then suddenly everyone is an expert on signs of addiction.
@shawtyforgothermelody85064 жыл бұрын
@@zachpostman Not really? It's just hella easier to actually notice and look for these signs. Everyone knows that there is orange everywhere but only truly realize it when it gets pointed out.

❤️ you John. You are amazing and this is just bump in the road. Many people are praying/sending love your way. You got this and thank you for showing many that it is not only ok to get help but it’s brave and courageous.

What John was saying about him not being able to write monologue jokes makes so much sense. Cuz John is an AMAZING storyteller and like in his specials his best and most entertaining jokes are his long winded explanations of things that have happened in his life, so I totally get why he struggles to make those 2 line jokes! It's so cool it get an inside look at how his comedy brain works!

DEAR DERRICK WATERS I'm heartbroken that "Drunk History" is no more. Could we please have a little bit of "John Mulaney Sober History"...? Pretty please? He needs the structure, and it would be fantastic.
