I am not taking sides, but I can say I met Daryl before all this and he is a jerk, total jerk. John is a nice person with A LOT of talent too.

@@carrieanne5415100% agreed. I saw them in their last Hall & Oats concert. Hall was completely unhinged. Yelling at the sounds guys. Literally stopped the concert to complain about the sound guys. Funny enough I noted that the 2 of them did not interact at all on stage. Not one word exchanged. And truthfully Hall sounded horrible. I said when we left. I think that’s it for them. They clearly hate each other. I really think Hall is just a bitter old guy who wants all the credit. They were a great duo with countless hits.

Just watched the GMA interview. Man, I like what you said about getting back to who you were before Hall & Oates came to be. Sometimes in life we change who we are, thinking it will bring us more happiness, but what we end up doing is cheating ourselves. I really like the real you and your music.

John Oates needed to have his voice heard. Invalidation is the worst thing a close friend can do to another. Friends who invalidate friends are really not friends. Hard to come to that realization when you have known someone and cared about someone most of your life. Glad you are moving on John. Your voice is important.

John, thank you for this song. My grandmother passed away yesterday, and she was long praying for a "reunion" with her husband and my beloved grandfather who passed three decades ago. Hearing this wonderful song has really helped bring me closure and understanding. You've got one of the most amazing soulful voices I've ever heard. Hope you keep singing for years to come. Cheers.

This is a beautiful and peaceful song video, and a lovely church setting. I like how John confidently walks out at the end. Like he knew and was comfortable with his new "leaf" he turned over. His guitar looks very similar to the guitar I saw Tom Johnston use at the old concert that the Doobie Brothers did in the 1972 concert.
