Relax everyone, he is not saying, "do not build a modern day city." What he is pointing out is the lesson's significance of The Tower of Babel. The people building the Tower of Babel had a different agenda. This has nothing to do with why cities are built and skyscrapers are made today. Simply put the temple is not made of stone.

Someone tell me how 100 years after the Noah flood story do we have thousands of people taking on a large scale building of a large tower? 8 people can not become the number of people needed to build a large tower in 100 years.

@@Reason1717 also 1000 years after the flood was the Moses story. the 8 people became over 4 million in Egypt alone not counting the Palestinians they avoided in the desert who had to out number the 650,000 Israelite men, all the tribes they fought in the desert with thriving cities and governments. 8 people can not become over 10 million in 1000 years. And the flood was said to have happened about 2300 BC, only 4300 years ago. The animals would have had a rapid evolution process and fly to the continents they are on from turkey (where they now claim is the location of the ark).

Look on KZbin for young earth creationists videos. It gets funny how delusional the people are. This is where you see the religion turns into mythology by the dates/year given to the stories.

So this is one of those stories (there are many) which I would skip over, pretend it's not in scripture. It is so vastly incorrect so as to draw dismantling by the least of the reasonable. We all spoke one language discounts the many empires throughout the globe unknown to the Bronze age goat herders who settle those parts of the present day middle east. The tower of Babel incident(s) was, in my opinion, was an attempt to rebuild the previous CERN hub. A hub which connected and powered up all the star gates , (Giza and all the rest). Those ancient star gates are, today, covertly (and continuously) being claimed by NATIONAL "shows of force". (For instance; Crimea is reported to have many buried pyramids and so is Antarctica) The PREVIOUS star gate hub and power source was probably in Atlantis. People could travel to the very distant gods, in person. They merely jumped through a star gate. Thus the common folk built a physical tower to heaven, in order to talk to the gods as their leaders did because they didn't have the ancient knowledge to rebuild the real star gates they had been told about by their ancestors. However, ALL OF THE “EGYPTIAN DESCENDED” royalty of England DID have the real remembrance and inherited understanding about it, but they did still not have the technological know-how to rebuild one. Finally, in the Tudor era of England, they commissioned John Dee to help them to obtain it. He apparently, received the information that would help Earthlings to once again to travel through the barrier that had kept them from getting off of the planet. That barrier is is the strong and weak forces. "The intention of god?" Today’s CERN project is meddling with just that.

God loves all humans, just like a father would love his children. He split us up as punishment for our pride and rebellion. Different religions exist because man wants to sin and not obey God. Oh, yes, this goes a long way. Thinking that you can control everything, thinking that you can make your life better by not following God's commands, thinking there is happiness without God and Church (or that happiness doesn't exist, which is also theologically wrong), putting your human mind and plans above God's will and wisdom. Thinking that you are mighty and can rely on your own power and intelligence, not turning to God for help, not thanking Him for His help and blessings. Just because they wanted to build a city does not mean they would not continue to be fruitful and multiply. As they did multiply, their city would eventually spread. Some would decide to explore regions outside of their own and branch off. I do not see how building a city would be detrimental to this. In addition, I do not see the problem with wanting to build the best city you can. Praise has always been a driving force in great accomplishments and always will be. Were people not suppose to seek shelter and safety? Did God wants us all to be vagabonds?

They weren't seeking shelter. They were disobeying what God had said. Their intent was not to disperse throughout the earth yet God had said to multiply and fill the earth. This is the story that turned me into an atheist. We have actual evidence for how languages form and evolve, but the people back then didn’t. I don’t blame them for mistaking something as wonderfully flawed as languages as something a God must have done. They aren’t dumb, but we must move away from these ideas as we have been informed of new evidence.

KJV Gen 11:1-9 is about false religion and spreading that across the earth. Verse 1, Language = uncircumcised lips, speech = lies or iniquities. None of it is the same Hebrew word as tongues, as some false teaching would have you believe. They are trying to reach the heavens which contain their gods the sun, moon and stars. (Gen 1:25) It goes much deeper but this is the basis of it.
