Don’t see any intention to injure on anyone’s part. Clean check. He just happened to fall in the path Perry was skating. No way he could have gotten out of the way from hitting him as quick as it happened. Just one of those unfortunate hockey plays. Hope Tavares will be ok.

how in the world are the people not attending to a player after an incident such as this not properly medically trained ? that the 1st person attending to tavares did not immobilise and "c-spine" him is completely and totally unacceptable. i sincerely hope that the team and the league review their training and or medical personnel in this situation so that it does not occur again in the future. if john had sustained cervical spine issues ( a definite possibility in a collision such as this) he could have sustained severe and irreparable damage due to the medical aid or trainer handling him in such an improper and medically unprofessional manner. anyone taking a basic ambulatory course knows this, let alone those operating at the highest levels of sport. watching that was quite honestly shocking. i hope that john tavares is ok.
