@jonathanbowen36404 жыл бұрын
@@harshitanand673 My opinion is certainly not half baked ive been watching videos )and other content)such as these for years (almost two decades)and have read probably about two hundred books and getting on for maybe one hundred podcasts on subjects popular to tom and his usual guests. I have also owned multiple businesses. Though whilst not as rich as tom I certain have an understanding of business development entrepreneurship etc.. - The show doesn't have great aesthetics. I'm a designer with two degrees in design, i lecture at masters level and over a decade of experience and I'm telling you the logo is mediocre, the set design cold the lighting is ok but a bit odd. Note the inconsistent use of blues on the 2d materials and the set. Also do you really want that colour behind a human head in the main channel icon? Probably not. You can see now. Also the type face of the logo and the video thumbnails are not complimentary. I hope this has helped you look again at your opinion of the shows aesthetics. They are but not great or consistent, maybe try jocko willicks channel if you want to see consistent branding aesthetic concept. - This is a medium weight channel. Its not bad, just not the best. I prefer higher level thinking nowadays, either philosophical, psychological or technical. Tom is not trained in any of these subjects. (This will become true for many viewers as they age and their taste becomes more sophisticated and demanding.) Hes much more mainstream. (And thats fine. i still watch his stuff. But any claims to greatness are not acceptable to me.) And appeals to ordinary minds such as yourself. Thats also ok. There aer many people like you so ts a sizable audience. That's why you think hes really good. Because you cant comprehend anything better. As anything better would be too high level for you. Also you personally identify with Tom and like him so you're insulted when any one criticizes him as you feel part of his tribe and you're a tribal thinker. More so than an independent one. So instead you resort to being offended you just insult and attempt to criticize me. - Try something like: Lex Fridman for intellect and an intersection of science with philosophy, kzbin.info/door/SHZKyawb77ixDdsGog4iWA Lewis howes for emotional connections with guests, kzbin.info The Psychology Podcast with Dr Scott Barry Kaufman, for proper pyschological discussion by someone trained in the subject) with more depth and rigor.kzbin.infovideos Gregory b Sadler for actual philosophy talked about at a pro level kzbin.info/door/EtxsMx4qsoitFwjBdLU_gA Science :Issac Artur kzbin.info/door/ZFipeZtQM5CKUjx6grh54g Rich roll is same if not better than Tom kzbin.info/door/pjlh0e319ksmoOD7bQFSiw Lifestyle and work Matt Davella kzbin.info/door/J24N4O0bP7LGLBDvye7oCA Tim Ferris podcasts kzbin.info/door/znv7Vf9nBdJYvBagFdAHWw Creativity Chase Jarvis kzbin.info/door/p8mr0kjVyVAmvexLDqB60A Entrepeneur habits Would be Alex BEcker kzbin.info/door/KQvGU-qtjEthINeViNbn6A More science mixed with other stuff in the mindscape podcasts with Sean Carrol kzbin.info/door/RhV1rWIpm_pU19bBm_2RXw Ideas and practical philosophy kzbin.info/door/iRiQGCHGjDLT9FQXFW0I3A - So some are similar to toms channel, some are completely different some have been on toms channel But all are more in depth than what appears on toms channel. All are accessible to the average guy or gal. If i sent you my reading/library list you would shit your pants. So my opinion is half baked?!! Not really I've consumed more content like this channel than you have had hot dinners. And you told me to watch the entire video, of course I watched the video!! I've have been a subscriber for god knows how many years Don't tell me whats what. I tell you. This channel is decent, but for me doesn't go into enough depth and i prefer more intellectual thinking, tom is a bit more business growth orientated, tom is good but i find other interviews even better tbh. If you want to get the best from the guests go to their actual content, read their books. Put the work in. buy a subscription to audible if you don't have one already, and a kindle etc. A chat with tom is no substitute. Don't you dare tell ME whats good. I tell you.

How do you know when an actor isn't acting?

What a great surprise to have one of my film heroes, John Travolta, be interviewed with such care. I was inspired and felt his genuine gratitude to answer all the questions you asked of him. John’s words of wisdom from his life experiences will be incorporated into my life. I love how he said he knows how to let someone go when necessary. Especially when he’s creating a new film. I also love how gracious he spoke of his children. All questions were thoughtful. Thank you for capturing the man before the actor. Thank you for always being very respectful of everyone you interview.

Listened to this on podcast while running. When I got back home I was sharing it with family. Excellent conversation and a lot of take aways on empathy, excellence & mental strength. He's amazingly humble. Loved the Wal-Mart bit.

You know, scientology aside, this is one of the best interviews on Impact Theory, one of the best guests, and this man is a legend. I never thought he had all these well grounded ideas and concepts of life. He's making a lot of sense here, love him for it! His eyes reveal a kind soul

Awesome! I agree, it always bothers me when someone talks just money, granted money will give you purchasing power but my heart melts when someone says look at what i did, a handstand, a new song, a new dance, life is a performance, thank you John!
