Walker isn't an entirely good man. He has little self control, is unable to take responsibility for his actions, and acts very entitled. However, he also clearly wants to be a good man, and thinks he is. He want's to help, but isn't always sure on how to do that. The responsibility of being Captain America should never have fallen to him, as he obviously wasn't up to it.

I rewatched the show again trying to look at it from a different perspective because I'm super interested in his character. Walker's definitely not a bad guy, he's a good guy that was reformed into a soldier. I just don't understand why they took the Captain America role from him. Because he made it look bad by killing a terrorist? Sam got it right though, with the "we have to stop calling them terrorists" speech. He has the "perfect" ideals that Steve had. Let's be honest. Him, Sebastian and Bruhl were by far the best parts of the show as Walker, Bucky and Zemo. Anthony Mackie is a similarly brilliant actor but I do find that, as much as they're trying with Sam (and using good material), he's just not as interesting of a character as the above 3. I feel like generally the best or most interesting part about him is Mackie's portrayal more than the character himself.

Karli's buddy is hardly blameless. He was holding Walker in place to get stabbed which in turn resulted in Lamarr rushing in to save him and Karli killing him, making the guy Walker killed complicit. Plus as we later see while running away the guy chucks a stone waste bin at Walker that easily could've injured or killed a bystander had Walker not stopped it. Plus even if he's saying "I give up" he's still a super soldier, meaning unless he's unconscious he's still a serious threat.

John Walker/US Agent is one of the most underrated characters in Marvel, and he was one of the best parts of this series. I'm also glad that they're reportedly re-writing the Thunderbolts script, so they can hopefully focus on him and the others a bit more. (Apparently, the original focused too much on the Black Widow characters, Yelena in particular, I'm assuming.) The idea of seeing him together with Taskmaster, Ghost, and Red Guardian alone has me excited.

Agree on all points. They would never have Sam give up the shield now due to woke points but if they at some point even reversed it from the comics and had Bucky follow Sam as Cap (where of course, in the comics, Sam followed bucky) that would be so awesome. His doubt and journey towards redemption and inner peace was just amazing in the comics and it's such a shame that, with one of the foremost talented and wide-ranging actors in Sebastian, who was set with a tonne of work in his initial contract and foreshadowing of him being Captain America (him picking up the shield every 5 minutes), it's such a shame they did the quickest steer left and had Sam be Cap. And I loved Sam since day 1 and love Mackie as him and if they wanted to do Sam after like in the comics, that would have been awesome too. But to pass up how it went in the comics just for woke points (people say it's because Steve didn't die in this reality and because Bucky's crimes are way more widely known in the MCU but they forget how Bucky actually had a trial in the comics whereas in the show the president has just already pardoned him) was a shame. Not at all saying Sam being Cap is woke for me (it is a mantle unlike female Thor which is his name and identity) but the decision for him to be Cap first was 100% SJW influenced.

In this show they both know about the serum and what it does to people and Bucky himself has it in him so it’s more of a fair fight.

Really Wyatt Russell is a great actor. I become his great fan after seeing falcon and the winter soldier series. He plays his role with full dedication and his character is also very impressive. The fact “The End Of The Line” reprises at the end, effortlessly reinforces the devastation and misery Sam is facing seeing his best friend’s shield, the symbol of America’s honour and patriotism smeared in the blood of a man wrongly accused of a murder he didn’t commit. Anthony Mackie’s performance excellently conveys the shame of the juxtaposition that is Steve’s symbol of freedom and freewill being used as a tool for fear and murder. To be fair, Sam's melee skill has been extremely limited (he still struggles with Batroc, a normal human in the end) so he mostly relies on ranged attack from his jetpack and smgs. Bucky is limited by his no kill code (also because Marvel has been nerfing him for some time now). This scene is great. Beautiful acting on all 3 sides. Mackie and Stan already showed their love for the characters of Falcon and Bucky, but here they are finally taking their characters to highest points. Wyatt Russell did an amazing job as John Walker. I expected him to be anti-Steve Rogers, but in last 2 episodes you can clearly see that he only did what his superiors expected from him. He's not a villain. He's just lost. He wants to be like Steve Rogers, but he doesn't know how to do it. I hope to see more of Walker as USAgent in future MCU projects (Thunderbolts movie or TV show maybe)

I just loved that look Bucky gave Sam when he dropped the shield next to him it's almost like "I told you so." Or "It should have been you."

John walker Usagent in the comics is said to be 5/10 times stronger than Steve rogers captain America 🇺🇸 😂 Literally type in who’s stronger John walker or Steve rogers and you will get your answer 😂🤷‍♂️

I loved Sam and Bucky in this episode, Sam crying was heartbreaking and I felt bad for John.
