and joined the band between 1975-1976.

A very underrated bass guitar player. John Wetton was such a technician who produced excellent bass guitar solos. Also one of the greatest voices of rock progressive music. In the Dead of Night is still a classic, and one of the ten greatest songs of the genre with By the Light of Day, Presto Vivace and Reprise, Alaska, and Time to Kill. UK's second album, Danger Money, is still today also a masterpiece, a classic of the genre and one the ten best albums of progressive rock music. John Wetton's voice was wonderful with UK. R.I.P. John Wetton.

John must have loved that white Fender precision bass (I don't remember him playing Fender Jazz bass BTW). He played it in his UK days (my favorite band of all time). RIP John, big smokey.

I bet king crimson fan's loved that 👍🎸hahaha..he was great in a band or on his own ie UK and Asia. I loved him being in heep. Saw him many times. He never got the credit for writing and and arranging with ken hensley..john said years later he was still owed money from KH..still there was no bad feeling as they played together again , 🎶🎵🙏 john was special. He really got on well with heep. Lee. And especially David byron. 2 weeks after byron was sacked...john left..the rest is history. Thanks john for UK and Asia..RIP a great bass player. Singer and man

I saw this concert only it was in St Louis Queen Kansas mahogany rush and Uriah Heep all for $3.95 General seating😮 what a show what a steal I remember David Byron very arrogantly introduced their new bass player John wetton😅 who I love I just couldn't stand David Byron😢

Uriah Heep was a third rate band all along. Having Wetton was a surprise blessing for an otherwise sub-mediocre band.
