However, demanding cgi will lead to its improvement and since cgi can be applied in other fields for many solutions (maybe even medicine), i would much prefer dealing with a whacky explosion hahahah. I don't know if anyone from the other comments section will see this, the Vigo knew he was dead from the beginning leaving John wick alive in the chair to be suffocated by him time. You can see how much he's enjoying the ride because he has nothing to lose he's already dead. The only thing left is the excitement of the chase in the battle because as you said there's nothing you can do. If anything you is probably the most badass person in the movie to be honest just based on that concept. I know that's not much to go on but whatever that's my synopsis right quick
