Great to hear the perspective of a seasoned musician who had never heard their music. Miss Fields has good insights.

the whole extraordinary phenomenon that was Pink Floyd will never happen again and cannot be repeated, Syd and the guys will forever hold that "magical thing" in space and time. some of us shared experiences when we were younger and in a sense we were similar characters to Syd, Roger. Dave and so on, in our own little pocket of the space and time we occupied

Venetta Fields is honorary Aussie, and she's sang on a lot of classic records here down under as well. Great to hear her perspective on the Floyd and these recording sessions.

Love how Venetta picked up the word "lorries" for trucks. And "pals and buddies" with David Gilmour - both beautiful personalities. Like attracts like.

Beautiful Soul... also I wonder if Syd was somehow tipped off that his old band would be recording that day.

He may indeed have been tipped off by his manager ..

Nice to hear some Syd Barrett stories. Syd's birthday is in a couple of weeks, Jan. 6th. He would have been 79 years old.

His sister has said it wouldnt surprise her that syds manner and the way he acted were a joke on the band that day, they treated him so badly by just not picking him up one day so maybe he played i joke.i dont know maybe only syd knows the truth.... RIP
