I enjoyed the podcast. Young Will looks more like Chris than Will’s Dad looks like Eddie. I am glad that you will be doing full reviews of the J2K and Shapeshifter. I love my Shapeshifter and I am on the fence about buying the J2K. Hopefully, I can decide after your review. Thank you, John and Eddie.

@Johnkew Pickleball, I just saw a new pickleball technology I'd like you guys to try out and review! It's called the OM Aero1. They call it the world's first pickleball racket because it's a thermoformed racket frame and goes through a second thermoforming process, which they claim gives it more surface dwell time and a legal trampoline effect. Waiting to hear Eddie and your thoughts!

Does having a heavier handle (using a heavier hesacore/thicker overripe/etc) contribute to faster hand speed more than adding weight towards the lower tape of the paddle?

Really like the pod, it made my Friday work lunch hour. Will does look like Chris in that photo but Eddie does not look like Wills dad. Question: Do you think ball tech needs to be developed to help offset the hotter paddles? Is there a current defined ball spec?

Will is forever cool and hilarious. He just leans into the idea that Eddie looks like his dad. John is always classy, intelligent, and discerning. He can tell Asians apart. Eddie is fast with his quips: I've got spawn all over the place! This is like the worst unboxing ever. Oh, John, you sent me pictures of you in a Speedo (John: You already had those.) Not a fun game. I think I'm much better looking. I think the takeaway is that Braydon needs a small Asian sidekick. Yes, Eddie, you are much better looking because you are much younger with smoother skin. It's good to have Asian genes! Someone do a paddle collab with Eddie! Paddle name should be Spawn. Put it in the worst box ever. Include family portraits of Eddie, Chris, and Will. Ooh, and pics of John in a Speedo! I feel like this project has Bread & Butter written all over it. Instead of hot sauce, give us chili crisp!

I haven't really seen any reviews or insight into this particular paddle, but could you possibly give your thoughts and possible review in the future on the Komodo Pickleball Katana? It is also a kevlar paddle that caught my eye and they are backed by Andre Agassi

I heard that the Internet company that the tournament uses does not have the bandwidth to let them stream any higher frame rates. But should still use higher on court.

It's b/c the situation has not been resolved yet. If they get the Gen 3s back on the approved list, why would they refund? Ya, it's a pretty big annoyance for players, but you just have to wait it out. I assume if there is a massive issue where the Gen 3s do not get approved, they will offer a solution for customers. But until then, people are just overreacting and trying to take advantage of the situation.

Is it just me, only happens indoors, when i play people that use Selkirk paddles i lose sight of the ball for a split second from the white of the paddles

From what I have been able to found they submitted paddles that had different colored edge guards.. Eventually it will be public.. Oh and USAPA sucks.. They are SO transparent... NOT

COR….think golf….smash factor. Put the ball on a tee…work it out from that basis. PING golf do their testing at crazy hours of the night or morning to get the perfect conditions. This is the future…wait and see.

It's the Kineon Move+ pro. Took about two weeks of consistent use, but it's working great! Elbow pain is gone 90% and shoulder about 70%. Still working on it (about 20 minutes/day) and it's getting progressively better. Definitely going to hold on to it after the 30 day trial.

Johnkew said the Joola paddle "didn't fail the deflection test; it didn't fail the roughness test". But there is no evidence one way or the other as to whether a sampling of Joola paddles were recently tested and whether they passed or failed. Neither news release mentions paddle testing. There are two scenarios that fit the scant facts. Scenario 1 Joola being a super ethical company just realized they submitted the wrong paddles for testing last November and notified USAP. As a result, USAP suddenly and ham-handely delisted Joolas paddles ruining the Gen3 introduction of a major financial contributor to USAP. Scenario 2 USAP as part of their commitment to test paddles in the marketplace as mentioned in their news release, tested Joola Gen 3 paddles. Joola's Gen3 paddles failed testing. USAP notifies Joola and asks why the November paddles passed, but the marketplace paddles failed. Joola issues a news release mentioning the administrative error, but says nothing about failed testing. USAP delists Joola paddles. I believe Scenario 2 best fits the actions of Joola and USAP. Time will tell if I am correct.
