@@JohnLCharette, yes, I had to place it upside down as well. It works great though. I have it mouted on the wall. I have an AIO on the CPU that is mounted to the right of the motherboard. I plan to put a closed loop 4090 and I'm debating placing the GPU AIO on the top or the front of the case in the additional bracket it comes with...
@JohnLCharette
@JohnLCharette 5 ай бұрын
This sounds like an incredible build. I would love to see photos! I would recommend mounting the GPU AIO radiator on the top, if the tubing is long enough. If you do end up mounting it on the front, I recommend the tubes being at the bottom of the radiator vs the top so air isn't trapped in the tubes. It shouldn't make a big different with performance, but can make gurgling sounds.

@@JohnLCharette I did a Core P6 build for a friend and the temps were fine due to the gaps on the lateral ends on the glass panes. Essentially, I am inquiring about mimicking that. I’d use a 420 mm arctic AIO via the motherboard side and glass on the top and front to protect against foreign objects (e.g., liquids). Plus, the P6 doesn’t support E-ATX

That's so interesting to hear. Thank you for sharing! When I went to school for Computer Animation, we spent the entire 1st year learning traditional animation practices with paper and light tables. I'm less of an artist, more of a tech guy - hence the channel. I really enjoyed it once we started to use Maya for 3D animation. Those days are long gone though. 20'ish years later I thankfully get to work with some amazing artists.

I want to mount this with the system upside down, but I'm not sure if that would survive reverse weight (assuming GPU is horizontally mounted, ofc).
@JohnLCharette
@JohnLCharette Жыл бұрын
I can't see why this wouldn't work flipped 180 degrees. The GPU would still be horizontally mounted. The power supply gets until support with the U shaped bracket. The rest of the system is screwed directly into the backplate of the case. I'd say you are good to go. I'm more curious about why you'd like to mount it upside down? ;)

Nah, you're right. I don't think it affects anything. With a smaller PSU, it'll give you more room to work around that support pillar. You probably won't run into the power supply cable issue I ran into. Which power supply are you using with this case?

@JohnLCharette
@JohnLCharette 11 ай бұрын
Yes, you're absolutely right. Depending on how you mount it, if you don't want the cables coming out the front, you'll need to cut a whole in the case. That being said, if you do it well and hide it behind the PSU, it would be SICK. You wouldn't see any cables at all. I wish I still had that build so I could tell you if there was anything structural or important behind the PSU to know if it's doable. Please let me know how this goes. I think if you do it well, it could be an incredible mod for this case.
