This is what staying true to yourself sounds like. It's clear John is influenced by 80s - and yes it is a trend these days to incorporate nostalgia - but this one...this one feels genuine. Not just the font choice, the synths, the Wrangler jeans - it's the whole aura that he carries that just feels...honest. How much I would love to relive the 80s again...(I was a kid then) no matter the efforts here and there...it isn't possible..whatever you do...it was the real thing back then and only then. The whole energy was so different from todays.. Not even a glimpse is possible..just warm sweet memories...and hell I am so happy that I have lived in that decade but honestly there is always an amount pain at the same time..because it's a loss in a way.

I love how he's always reinventing himself. He never drops the same music.
